One of the most exciting features in Shadowlands is the new character customization options. Previously, Blizzard’s said we were only getting updates to the “core” races. Allied races are out of luck for new stuff. Or are they? Probably, but on the alpha there’s been a surprising exception.
Mechagnomes received four new customization options in the latest (as of this writing) build. These are a new set of goggle type eye enhancements with variants for each mechagnome ear type.
What’s odd about these additions is that they sort of already exist on live servers. That’s probably why they’re being made fully available in Shadowlands.
Currently mechagnome characters will use this goggle eye appearance if they’re wearing helms that cover hair or facial features on other races.
You can’t select these options in the barbershop or have your character display them outside of equipping/transmogrifying certain helms… until now! (Technically until the Shadowlands pre-patch releases, but until now sounded cooler.)
WARNING: THE FOLLOWING ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR WORLD OF WARCRAFT: SHADOWLANDS AND THE EXILE’S REACH STARTING ZONE. THIS INFORMATION IS TAKEN FROM THE ALPHA SERVERS AND DATAMINING AND THUS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A WORK IN PROGRESS THAT CAN AND HOPEFULLY WILL CHANGE.
Revendreth is similar to Nazjatar in that it has several vertical layers that make a small zone end up pretty big for exploration. In this case, there are paths along the mountain that lead you to several layers of land, as well as stairs and elevators.
Then there is the lower areas of the zone with all kinds of beasts and creatures lurking in the river banks — if we can call it rivers.
There is a massive bridge of blood being funneled from the Sanguine Depths dungeon in Revendreth to The Maw.
Revendreth is a level 57-60 zone. Below you can take a look at some of my screenshots. The video is being uploaded. Follow @blizzplanetcom for updates when it is available. ETA 2am (more or less — US East)
Blizzard Entertainment deployed the first build update since Shadowlands Alpha started. Build 34081 was over 1.2GB in file size. These are some of the updates found so far.
Aspirant Souls now have more variety than the Kyrian only and simple anima. Now you can find Goblins, Forsaken, Tauren, Orcs, Humans, Dwarves, Night Elves, Blood Elves, Pandaren, and other races. I haven’t found Allied Races yet.
With the new level scaling in Shadowlands, setting BFA max level players down from level 120 to level 50 — the question remains: What is the new zone levels across each continent?
Here I will share what the zone levels look like in the Shadowlands expansion.
You can enter the continents at these basic intro levels:
Outland and Northrend at level 24.
Pandaria at level 30.
Draenor at level 35.
Broken Isles at level 40.
Kul Tiras and Zandalar break the mold as you can enter it at level 10.
Blizzard Entertainment gives you the option how and where to level up a new or low level character. Very flexible. The easiest way is to jump from level 10 to Kul Tiras (Alliance) or Zandalar (Horde), and reach level 50 by playing in Battle for Azeroth content. Then jump at level 50 into Shadowlands.
