Avatar of Freya may be found at the Rainspeaker Rapids by the Lost Land in Sholazar Basin. This is by far one of the most epic quest chains in World of Warcraft offering lore of the Titans and wraps up with the most epic solo-quest.

After you complete the Northrend Flying Mount quest titled: Reconnaissance Flight, Pilot Vic will give you a new quest titled Force of Nature. Go turn in the quest to learn Northrend Flying ability, and continue with Force of Nature quest. You must go northeast toward the Lost Lands in your map. Just follow the river that goes diagonal to the northeast.  You won’t miss Freya. She is at least 30 yards tall.

Avatar of Freya welcomes you as follows: “The Scourge are a blemish upon these pristine lands.  By the might of my creators, I will crush every last one of their decrepit bones under my heel.”

Pilot Vic: I’m not sure about what I saw while flying to the northeast, but to me it looked like a gigantic woman kicking some Scourge butt.

I’d heard the professor talk about a certain “lifewarden” appointed by the titans to look over Sholazar.  I might not be a titan historian, but it sounds like she fits the bill.

I also know that if the Scourge cross the border between the Lost Lands and the rest of Sholazar, our expedition’s as good as dead.  What do you say you go look for her and lend a hand?

(Travel to the Blight Line, between Rainspeaker Rapids and the Lost Lands in Sholazar Basin and seek the Avatar of Freya.

Avatar of Freya: You are not of this land.  But you also are not with the Scourge. What should I make of you?

This should never have happened.  The forces of undeath storm the very cradle of life!

If you’re not here to destroy the minions of the Lich King, then leave at once.  Do not incur my wrath by distracting me from my duties.

(Obtain Freya’s trust by destroying 6 Blighted Corpses and 10 Bonescythe Ravagers in the Lost Lands).

Avatar of Freya: Very well, (race).  I am satisfied that you’re not one of the Lich King’s minions … perhaps there is something you can do for us after all.

The agents of the Lich King have foolishly trespassed upon these lands where the power of life rules supreme.  All harm they inflict will be returned to them sevenfold.

The monster directly responsible for corrupting the land is known as Thalgran Blightbringer; you will find him just to the north of here.  Take this ward and use it to reflect the power of the death upon him.  Show the Scourge that the power of life prevails above all.

(The Avatar of Freya wants you to defeat Thalgran Blightbringer by using Freya’s Ward to reflect his Deathbolts back to him sevenfold).

Avatar of Freya: You continue to prove yourself, (name). Perhaps I was too quick to judge you.

I had assumed you were here with the poachers who were recently stranded in my lands, but perhaps you’re ready to put that behind you.<?font>

WoWScrnShot_080508_071947.jpg WoWScrnShot_080508_071955.jpg

The titans shaped entire life forms here, fostering their unfettered growth.

The five crystal pillars that surround the basin emanate pure lifeforce.  The SCourge should’ve never been able to penetrate the basin, but one of the pillars was destroyed.

Go to the Lifeblood Pillar and see if you can find out what happened.  No undead would’ve been able to approach the pillar, so keep your eyes out for living intruders.  You’ll find what remains of the pillar directly south of here.

(Travel to the Lifeblood Pillar and look for clues to its destruction).

NOTE: You will find a Cultist corpse with a quest mark.

Grab Freya’s second quest: Salvaging Life’s Strength,  and kill some rock elementals. You will find them in the Lifeblood Pillar and also at the top of the mountain cliff above the Sundered Shard Cave. Don’t have to enter the cave. Inside are mostly undead minions.

The Lifeblood Pillar was toppled over with great force, sending the very earth into an upheaval.

The elementals that wander the sundered shard carry with them the very life essence that gave the pillar its strength.  I cannot allow this energy to be wasted, for only four pillars remain.

Head to the sundered shard, to the southeast and seek the lifeblood elementals.

Use this gem on their remains to recover their rampant energy.  We’ll need the energy to heal the land when all this is over.

(Freya wants you to go to the Sundered Shard to the southeast and use the Lifeforce Gem on 8 destroyed Lifeblood Elementals).

Note: The Cultist Corpse you find at the top of the Lifeblood Pillar gives you a quest continuation with the following info:

Cultist Corpse: The corpse is badly burnt. There appear to be the remains of several powder kegs in the vicinity.

Avatar of Freya: I thank you, (name).  It is a shame that the pillar has fallen, but we must salvage what we can.

It appears the Avatar of Freya was right.  The undead were not able to enter Sholazar Basin before the Lifeblood Pillar was brought down—they used their living agents from the Cult of the Damned instead.

You’d best warn her about the Lich King’s living agents within Sholazar Basin.

(Speak to the Avatar of Freya at the Rainspeaker Rapids).

Note: Remember to kill the Lifeblood Rock Elementals to complete the second quest.

Avatar of Freya: The living … willingly serve the Lich King?

All this time I’ve been searching for the wrong enemy, (race).  Let us make haste and uproot these cultists from these lands.

Avatar of Freya: The Lich King’s lackeys have dared to bring weapons of destruction into my domain.  I will not stand for this.

Go to their outpost to the north and destroy the weapons they would use against the land.  We cannot let the Scourge taint another inch of these sacred lands.

(The Avatar of Freya wants you to go to the Cultist Encampment to the northwest and destroy 4 Unstable Explosives)

Note: Open your map. The Cultist Encampment is between The Glimmering Pillar and The Lost Lands, northwest of Freya.  In the map you see two building symbols in between both mentioned locations. The explosives are in wagons.

Avatar of Freya: I Thank you, (race).  You’re proving to be a worthy ally.

Avatar of Freya: I am an embodiment of but one aspect of Freya, daughter of the titans.  I am the Lifewarden—I was left here to protect this land against the threat of the Scourge.

I never anticipated the Lich King would send willing living servants to do his work.

I could easily crush these cultists myself, but I am all that stands between the undead armies and the rest of the basin.  Go, (name).  Deliver my wrath to these insolent trespassers.

(The Avatar of Freya at the Rainspeaker Rapids wants you to go to the Cultist Encampment to the northwest and slay 8 Cultist Infiltrators.

NOTE: You can kill the Cultist Infiltrators while destroying the explosives to complete both quests in a single trip.

Avatar of Freya: You speak truth.  The intruders at the camp were dealt with … but I’m afraid it might have been too late.

We were not quick enought, (name).  The cultist scum hav earrived at the Glimmering Pillar and are making preparations to destroy it, I can sense them.

We don’t have much time.  Blow upon this horn atop the Glimmering Pillar to channel my power through the crystal.

We shall show this scum to not trifle with the titan’s creations.

(The Avatar of Freya at the Rainspeaker Rapids wants you to ue Freya’s Horn atop the Glimmering Pillar).

Note: The Glimmering Pillar is only accessible with a flying mount.  It is north of the River’s Heart, and northwest of where Freya is. You can see it on the map. In order to make the horn work, you must blow it on the ground below the huge floating pillar that hovers above the Cultist Saboteurs.

(The structure above begins to hum with energy).

Avatar of Freya: Impressive.  I wasn’t expecting a mere mortal to prove as worthy an ally as you.

I fear our efforts have not been sufficient, however.  The Scourge shows no signs of stopping.

The cultists have been taken care of, but the Scourge’s invasion has not slowed down.  The situation is becoming desperate, (name).

There exists a last resort.  Before I reveal any more, however, I must be sure I have your absolute trust.

(Listen to what the Avatar of Freya has to say).

YOU: I want to stop the Scourge as much as you do. How can I help?

Avatar of Freya: The titans did not create the life overnight.  The process was gradual and required a great deal of experimentation and iteration.

It is for that reason that highly protected places such as Sholazar Basin exist.

To ensure the safety of their experimentation sites, the titans created a defense mechanism.  Its destructive forces i is unparalleled however, and I will reveal no more unless you swear your fealty to my cause.

YOU: You can trust me. I am no friend of the Lich King’s.

Avatar of Freya: It borders on sacrilege that these secrets be revealed to a mortal such as yourself, but I have little choice.

Ever since Freya, daughter of the titans, left me here I’ve had but one task and I cannot fail.  Life must be protected at any cost.

There is a waygate that links this place with another very much like this one.  It is there that the weapons we seek can be found.

YOU: I will not fail.

Avatar of Freya: There is no turning back now.  If you agree to help me, you will do so without hesitation.

It is time then.  Let us activate the waygate.

You will find the first switch inside the Maker’s Perch in the western edge of the basin.

Beware, (name).  The titans used the perch to watch over their creations.  Many of their stone servants still guard the place.

(The Avatar of Freya at the Rainspeaker Rapids wants you to go to the Maker’s Perch and use the Activation Switch Gamma).

NOTE: You can reach the Maker’s Perch only via flying mount. It is on the edge of the mountain to the west. View the map. Enter the building and click on the console at the end. Return to Freya.

Avatar of Freya: We’re halfway there, (name).  One more switch needs to be activated before we can retrieve the Etymidian.

Avatar of Freya: We cannot stop now, (name).  You’ve triggered the first switch, but one remains.

The titans constructed a second vantage point where they oversaw their creations.  You’ll find it to the east, high in the mountains.

Pull the activation switch theta inside the overlook and the waygate will open.

(The Avatar of Freya wants you to head to the Maker’s Overlook in eastern Sholazar Basin and use the Activation Switch Theta.)

Avatar of Freya: The waygate is active, (name).  It is time!

Avatar of Freya: It is time, (name).  The Waygate has been activated for the first time in seven centuries.  Use it to travel to where our final hope lies.

Let us put an end to those who would seek to bring th etaint of undeath to this pristine land.  Let us unleash the Etymidian.

(Go through the Waygate in the southern end of Sholazar Basin and look for the weapon known as the Etymidian on the other side.)

NOTE: You will find it at the very south of Sholazar Basin. You can see a waygate symbol in the map—between the Mosslight Pillar and the Skyreach Pillar. The Waygate will teleport you to a new added temple high in the mountains on the north of Un’Goro Crater—the Shaper’s Terrace.

(As you read the engravings on this stone colossus, you realize that this is the weapon that Freya spoke of.  This is the Etymidian.)

NOTE: It is a Stone Watcher of Norgannon—similar to Archaedas, the last boss in Uldaman.

This colossal being appears to be inactive.  You notice an empty rune-shaped slot on its chest.

Perhaps you might be able to find the missing rune inside the nearby overlook.

(Obtain the Omega Rune inside the Shaper’s Terrace and bring it to The Etymidian.

Note: Go upstairs. The Omega Rune is a loot drop from Cultist Herenn.  The Death’s Hand Cult—from the Cult of the Damned are already in Un’Goro’s Shaper’s Terrace.

High Cultist Herenn: Fool! You led us to the only being that could stand up to our armies!  You will never bring the Etymidian back to Northrend!

Note: How in the world they got there before you, that’s beyond me. Unless they can travel through time to minutes before you arrived. That’s all I can think of. It remains unexplained how they were already there when you arrived. And how they knew about the Etymidian. To continue the quest return to the Etymidian just outside the Shaper’s Terrace.

(The rune-shaped slot on The Etymidian’s chest appears to glow with faint power.)

(You hear the rumbling sound of stone grinding as The Etymidian’s limbs come to life.)

The Etymidian: I am needed somewhere?

The Etymidian: You speak the truth, (race).  I can sense the very essence of Sholazar Basin begin to fray by the blight of undeath even as we speak.

I’ve bound my being into the rune, (race).  Deliver it to she who sent you here—for only her power can grant me passage to her lands.

(Bring the Omega Rune to the Avatar of Freya at the Rainspeaker Rapids in Sholazar Basin.

Avatar of Freya: You’ve returned, (name).

You’ve done well.

Woe unto our enemies.  Woe unto those who serve the Lich King and threaten the titans’ creations—for the Etymidian is here.

Avatar of Freya: It is time, (name).  The Etymidian is one of th emost destructive forces ever created by the titans and I am loathe to unleash him in my lands.

There is little choice, however.  Our enemies have forced my hand and the fury of the titans will cleanse all.

(Go to the Avalanche in Sholazar Basin and use the Omega Rune to deploy Etymidian.  Use him to slay 200 Scourge Minions, Bythius the Flesh-Shaper, Urgreth of the Thousand Tombs, and Hailscorn.

Speak to the Avatar of Freya in Sholazar Basin when you’ve completed this task.)

NOTE: There is no words that can describe this quest. It is AWESOME! And that falls short.  Once you click the Omega-Rune item in your bag, your character jumps high in the air as the Etymidian materializes. You land on his left shoulder.  The Spellbar UI hides away to let the Etymidian UI show up.  You are right! You control the Etymidian from his point of view. Your Etymidian has 113,400 Health and 23,964 Mana.

These are the abilities:

Colossal Strike: Inflicts weapon damage plus 4500 to an enemy and its nearest allies, affecting up to 3 targets. (This ability shows 3 undead flying in all directions with crazy force.) Instant, no mana cost, 20yd range.

Cataclysm: Deals 18900 to 23100 damage to all nearby Scourge. Instant cast. 5000 Mana. (ZOMG this is the coolest spell ability ever.  It kills any Scourge within range with a cool graphic effect. It has around a 20-30 second cooldown and wastes a lot of mana, so use only when you need it during a boss fight.)

Reconstruction: Restores all health. 1.5 Sec cast. 60 yd range. Costs 10,000 Mana. (Careful using this one as you get Out of Mana soon during a boss fight.)

Titanic Surge: Channeled. Regenerate 10% mana per second for 10 sec.  Damage taken while Evocating is increased by 400%. (Be very careful or you die very fast if you get hit by a boss or many mobs.)

Maker’s Sanctuary: Removes the Etymidian from combat and protects it from all attacks and spells for 12 sec.  During that time the Etymidian also cannot attack or use spells. (If your Etymidian is about to die and you can’t heal use it as a last resource. However, the boss will reset and go to full mana. This is just an escape death mechanism.)

If you die, your corpse will be teleported to the nearest Graveyard, and you are resurrected there automatically. Mount and fly back to the boss. Make sure to find a nice spot. If you need to kill a few Scourge do so. If you click the Omega-Rune close to the edge of the cliff you will be disappointed to see the Etymidian despawn right away and you will get a 1:30 cooldown until you can summon him again. So make sure to click the Omega-Rune deep inside the snowy land. You don’t want to waste 1:30 and worst get respawns on top of you while waiting.

The first boss is Bythius the Flesh-Shaper. He looks like the Frankestein-like boss in Naxxramas on Steroids. Kinda easy to kill. Just make sure to clear the area around him and to watch for the two dogs patrolling the ledge.

Urgreth of the Thousand Tombs is a Undead Vykrul. He is the hardest on the first attempts while you figure out the strategy. But because you visit Blizzplanet you will get here some tips. The main thing to be alert about this boss is when he emotes a spellscasting and his hands glow purple. He will channel three massive shadow overloads that will kill you.  He will do it often. You should start running away after you see his yellow emote pop in the general chat window: Urgreth begins to emanate a powerful dark energy!

Your healing ability has a long cooldown and it won’t be enough to save you from these massive three outbursts. Think about Prince Malchezzar’s Shadow aura in Karazhan. Same drift. The trick here is to run the heck away from him when you see him spellcasting it.  It has a small area of effect range.  If you run away in time, it won’t do you a single damage.  Run back and continue DPSing with the Colossal Strike ability which spends no mana.  When he is spellcasting (keep this in mind) use the Reconstruction ability to heal to full health, and immediately click the Titan Surge ability to evocate your Etymidian to full mana. Get back to fighting him. You will kill him in no time. Throw a few Cataclysms here and there after you have replenished health/mana.

The next boss is on the top left of the Avalanche. You can see him from where Urgreth of the Thousand Tombs is.  It is named Hailscorn, a blue Frost Wyrm.

This guy got some tricks up his sleeve, so read carefully.  Pull him to the wall of the mountain with your back facing the wall.  Correct … he knocksback. You don’t want to be flying down across the cliff. The Etymidian won’t die, but you gotta have to climb or fly back. The boss would either chase you down and attack with all the mobs down there and kill you, or you will have to reset—both not good options.

Again keep your back on the wall. Keep using the cleave ability named Colossal Strike.  Only when Hailscorn summons like 20 Scourge units you will walk forward into the center of Hailscorn and cast Cataclysm.  If you don’t move forward you will miss a lot of Scourge units, and they will then stack up with the next wave to be summoned.

Now that all the summoned mobs died, you can use Reconstruction, and immediately after use Titanic Purge.  Try to time it before the next summoning of units. At that rate Hailscorn will die. To complete the quest make sure you have killed 200 Scourge Minions. Then return to Freya.

Urgreth of the Thousand Tombs: Crush anything that stands in your path!  For the Lich King!
Nothing can stop the Scourge! Nothing!
Onward, you maggots!  This land is the Lich King’s now!

Avatar of Freya: I am grateful for your help, (name).  It is my duty to watch over these lands and all life that dwells on them.

Thanks to you, that life will continue to thrive while the forces of death wage in the bordering regions.

Your actions will not be forgotten.

Get your blue loot.

If Blizzard is reading this … PLEASE … Make this a Daily Quest! Neato!

Watch the video below.

High Overlord Saurfang: We are surrounded … Our enemies press in from all sides, young Hellscream.  The Scourge descends like locust from the north.  The Alliance holds the only secure shipping lane in this region and even that is at risk of being lost to those dreaded mists.  Our only viable port for resupply is held by the Forsaken on the other side of this blasted continent!  Anything our zeppelins cannot haul must be brought in by ship and travel the length of Northrend to reach us.

(Garrosh Hellscream grunts)

Garrosh Hellscream: Shipping lanes … supplies … You bore me to death!  We need nothing more than the warrior spirit of the Horde, Saurfang!  Now that we are firmly entrenched in this frozen wasteland, nothing shall stop us!

High Overlord Saurfang: Siege engines, ammunition, heavy armor … How do you propose to shatter the walls of Icecrown without those?

Garrosh Hellscream: Propose?  I will show you what I propose!  There … Now we now have a shipping lane.  And just for good measure …

High Overlord Saurfang: So the prodigal son has spoken!  Your father’s blood runs strong in you,  Hellscream. Impatient as always … Impatient and reckless.  You rush headlong into all-out war without a thought of the consequences.

Garrosh Hellscream: Do not speak to me of consequences, old one.

High Overlord Saurfang: I drank of the same blood your father did, Garrosh.  Mannoroth’s cursed venom pumped through my veins as well.  I drove my weapons into the bodies and minds of my enemies.  And while Grom died a glorious death – freeing us all from the blood curse – he could not wipe away the terrible memory of our past.  His act could not erase the horrors we committed.

(High Overlord Saurfang pauses)

The winter after the curse was lifted, hundreds of veteran orcs like me were lost to despair. Our minds were finally free, yes … Free to relive all of the unthinkable acts that we had performed under the Legion’s influence.

(High Overlord Saurfang nods.)

I think it was the sounds of the draenei children that unnerved most of them … You never forget …  Have you ever been to Jaggedswine Farm?  When the swine are of age for the slaughter … It’s that sound.  The sound of the swine being killed … It resonates the loudest.  Those are hard times for us older veterans.

Garrosh Hellscream: But surely you cannot think that those children were born into innocence?  They would have grown up and taken arms against us!

(High Overlord Saurfang shakes his head)

High Overlord Saurfang: I am not speaking solely of the children of our enemies …

(High Overlord Saurfang pauses)

I won’t let you take us down that dark path again, young Hellscream.  I’ll kill you myself before that day comes …

Garrosh Hellscream: How have you managed to survive for so long, Saurfang?  Not fallen victim to your own memories?

High Overlord Saurfang: I don’t eat pork …

(High Overlord Saurfang spits.)

Fear has always been our greatest weapon.  Entire wars have been won and lost upon the shifting shoulders of trepidation and doubt.  So how, then, does one fight an enemy that knows no fear?

(Saurfang shakes his head.)

We do not just fight the Scourge in Northrend, we fight to gain control of our senses before they tear us apart …

The razing of Orgrimmar was not just an attack against orcs, it was an affront to the Horde.  An assault against our very existence!

The Lich King sought to sow the seeds of fear.

This …

(Garrosh points to the fortified walls that surround him.)

This is the result of Arthas’s campaign.

The Horde fears nothing …

Note: The long fight against Varimathras reaches its end.

Varimathras: Years … wasted …

Thrall: WE ARE VICTORIOUS!  The Undercity belongs to the Horde once more!  LOK’TAR!

Dark Lady, join me!  You have fought hard and spilled much blood for this right.  The Royal Quarter belongs to you!

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner: Such will be the fate of all enemies of the Horde, Warchief. Now we must deal with the wretch, Putress.

Thrall: We shall, Sylvanas …  Alliance horns?  Stay on guard!

Note: King Varian Wrynn and various Stormwind Knights gallop on their horses into the Royal Quarter.

King Varian Wrynn: I was away for too long.  My absence cost us the lives of some of our greatest heroes.  Trash like you and this evil witch were allowed to roam free—unchecked.  The time has come to make things right.  To disband your treacherous kingdom of murderers and thieves.  Putress was the first strike.  Many more will come.  I’ve waited a long time for this, Thrall.  For every time I was thrown into one of your damned arenas … for every time I killed a green-skinned aberration like you … I could only think of one thing.  What our world could be without you and your twisted Horde … It ends now, Warchief.

Note: Varian Wrynn and his Knights clash against Thrall, Lady Sylvanas and the Warsong Battleguards. Suddenly Lady Jaina Proudmoore rushes into the Royal Quarter …

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: VARIAN, NO! STOP!

Note: Jaina casts a spell that freezes everyone in the room encasing them in blocks of ice, abruptly ending th ebattle.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: It did not have to be like this …

Note: Jaina teleports the frozen Varian Wrynn and his Knights away from Undercity, back to Stormwind.

Thrall: It ends like it began … All that we have fought for in this world is lost.  The hopes and dreams carried by my father and mother … by Doomhammer … Gone … If only you were here right now, old friend.  You would know what to do.

Note: A portal opens into the Royal Quarter from Warsong Hold, Northrend. Saurfang teleports in.

High Overlord Saurfang: He would say to you what I am about to say to you: Thrall.  Lead your people. Let’s go home, old friend.

(Thrall nods.)

Thrall: It’s good to have you back, Varok, old friend.  I’m sorry about your boy.

Note: Both, Thrall and Saurfang sit and rest on the stairs of the Royal Quarter. Shortly after, you are spirted away through the portal. You land in Orgrimmar—on the Zeppelin tower that leads to Borean Tundra. For those wondering, when you return to Undercity, you will find Sylvanas as usual, but from this moment forth you won’t see Varimathras anymore at her side. Anyone who hasn’t finished the quest, will see Varimathras. Phasing-technology in action.

(The End?)

Note: On this video (part 5) the Doomguard Khanok the Impassable dies. The waves of demons stop. Few abominations and Apothecary will be hitting you here and there. Thrall and Sylvanas walk across the sewer bridge to enter the long tunnel toward the Royal Quarter.

Thrall: Is that all, demon?  Have you nothing left to throw at us?

Ten Warsong Battleguards yell: For the Horde! while heading toward the Royal Quarter.

Thrall: We come for you!  Prepare yourself!

Onscreen: The Horde controls the Inner Sanctum.

Varimathras: Bring down the halls! NOW!

Note: As Thrall and Sylvanas reach the entrance to the tunnel leading to the Royal Quarter, it is found sealed with debris.

Thrall: COWARD!  You think to stop the Warchief of the Horde with pebbles?  I will show you the true power of the elements!

Great spirits of the earth, help us in our hour of need!

Note: The ground commences to shake with the animation a giant worm usually does when underground.  The shaking rock animations intensify, moving toward the sealed hall full of debris.  The debris falls apart unblocking the path.

Note: As Thrall and Sylvanas reach the Royal Quarter, Varimathras stands at the center of the Royal Quarter channeling a powerful spell that maintains several shadow portals open for the invading Burning Legion demons that start pouring into the Royal Quarter: Legion Dreadwhisperers (four-armed demoness), Legion Overlords (Pitlords), and Legion Invaders (Warbringers).

Thrall: What is this?

Varimathras: Welcome to your future—what little there is left of it … Too long … Tireless, endless planning … It will not end like this …  Need more time … The Master is near …  Such power!  Can you not feel it, mortals?  Cease this foolishness and join me!

I will not fail!  Not again!

I cannot hold … Destabilizing …

Note: The six shadow portals close one by one as Thrall and Sylvanas’ forces defeat wave after wave of demons. The last one finally succumbs negating the invading Burning Legion entry into the Royal Quarter.

A distant voice yells: YOU HAVE FAILED ME, VARIMATHRAS!

Varimathras: A thousand-thousand pardons, Master!  I will deal with these intruders myself!

Note: The battle against Varimathras commences.

Note: Thrall and Sylvanas stand at the edge of the elevator door looking down to the depths of the elevator shaft.  Thrall doesn’t see the lack of elevators as an obstacle. Thrall calls upon the wind spirits.

Thrall: HOLD! They’ve destroyed the elevator!

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner: The shaft is trapped, Warchief.  A fall would mean certain death.

Thrall: Great air spirit, hear my call once more!  The spirits of air have heard my call.  Cyclones will lower us to safety.  Now we jump!

Note: A swirl of magic goes down the elevator shaft, taking Thrall and Sylvanas into a slow descent. Wait a bit before jumping. Down in the trade district of Undercity more Abominations and Apothecary battle the Horde.

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner: You disgust me.  What have they done to my beautiful city!  You dare befoul my sanctum!  Pay with your blood!

Note: Thrall and Sylvanas slowly walk through the bank stairs to access the inner sanctum toward the outer sewer bridge.

Thrall: Lead the way, Dark Lady.  We will follow.

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner: The only redemption for the traitors responsible for this will be an agonizing death.  My vengeance will be swift and without mercy.  Very well, Warchief.  The Royal Quarter is this way.  Stay on guard.  There is no telling what Varimathras and Putress have in store for us.

HOLD!  I sense dark magic.  Demon magic … Stand ready!

Varimathras: Cleverl girl.  My brothers have grown hungry.  Your souls will sate their appetites.

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner: The Horde will be victorious!  The Banshee Queen has plans for you!  ON YOUR KNEES! You will be reunited with your master soon – in the after life!

Note: Waves and Waves of Demons fill the outer sewer ring: Perfidious Dreadlords, Felguard Marauders, Plagued Felbeasts (dogs), Succubus (Ravishing Betrayers); as well as more Abominations (Treacherous Guards) and Apothecarium agents. Doomguard Pillages will fly down from the ceiling.  After few waves of demons a mini-boss spawns: Khanok the Impassable (a Huge Doomguard).

Thrall: ATTACK!

Note: Lady Sylvanas Windrunner starts singing the Lament of the Highborne empowering the Horde and you with a debuff named Song of Sylvanas: Battle prowess heightened by the song of Sylvanas. Your agility increases a lot and you can move very fast across the courtyard. With both debuffs you get barely no damage. Your health is increased to three times the normal. Regeneration is increased. No risk of dying. Just help Thrall and Sylvanas who battle Varimathras’ forces.

You will face waves after wave of Abominations (Treacherous Guardian), Apothecary Chemists, Apothecary Collaborators, and Blight Doctors. Take down the Plague Spreader catapults on each side of the stairs. Shortly after the battle starts, a huge Blight Aberration mini-boss spawns in the courtyard. Waves of mobs will continue to spawn until the Blight Aberration is killed. Take him down fast for the next phase.

Thrall battles with his full set of shamanistic spells, while Sylvanas fights either melee with her red-glowing enchanted daggers, or with her bow. From time to time, Sylvanas will jump across the the landscape in the air at blazing-speed and cast a torrent of glowing projectiles with her bow to all enemy units in front of her across the battlefield. Then jumps back within melee range to annihilate her opponents.

The battle lasts approximately five to seven minutes depending how many players are in your party. This can be done with two players.

Blight Aberration: YAAAAAAAAARGGGGGHHHH !!!!

Horde Demolitionist: FIRE IN THE HOLE!

Thrall: The courtyard is ours!  Onward to the inner sanctum!

Onscreen: The Horde controls the courtyard.

Thrall and Jaina walk through the Ruins of Lordaeron City throne room, past the tomb of King Terenas and toward the elevator to Undercity. However, the elevators have been shut down leaving an empty elevator shaft with a deadly spikey ground trap at the far bottom.

A portal opens up and Thrall and Lady Sylvanas appear on the crossroads in the outskirts of Lordaeron Ruins’ gate. This seems to be a phase-technology gap. The Undercity is nigh empty with corpses everywhere.

The first you see when taking the portal is Thrall, Lady Sylvanas Windrunner and Vol’jin on their mounts at the crossroads leading to the gates of the Lordaeron City Ruins. Two portals from Orgrimmar continually replenish new Kor’kron Elite guards who immediately engage in combat toward the inner-courtyard. Two Orcish catapults keep fire siege on the city.

Warsong Battleguard: How could we not have seen this coming, to think a Dreadlord could be trusted!  Prepare for battle, it looks like the Apothecarium already has their Blight aimed at the entrance!

Vol’jin: Let me get you up to speed, (name).

Undercity is a war-zone.  Putress’ apothecaries and Varimathras’ demons have seized control.  They’ve taken a defensive position inside and are using that damned blight against our troops.

Onscreen on the top corner is displayed: “The enemy controls the Undercity! 5 minutes until the battle for the Undercity begins!

The entirety of the Undercity is controlled by Varimathras.  Our soldiers stand ready, waiting for the Warchief to give the attack orders.

Help the Horde take back the Undercity and earn your place among our greatest champions!  Should you survive the assault, report to Thrall.

Check in with the Warchief when you are ready to begin.

(Assist Thrall and Sylvanas in retaking the Undercity for the Horde.)

Report to Thrall should you succeed.

Thrall: Are you ready to begin the assault and win back the Undercity for the Horde, (name)?

You: I am ready, Warchief.

Warsong Battleguard: Forward to glory, Orcs!

Demolitionist: We’re taking it back!

(5 minutes until the Battle for the Undercity begins!)

Thrall: HEROES OF THE HORDE. YOUR WARCHIEF CALLS! Gather behind me at the gates of the Undercity!  Soon we march upon our fallen city and reclaim it – FOR THE HORDE!

The elements are with us in force, (name).  With their help, we will do all that is in our power to stop Varimathras and Putress! LOK’TAR OGAR!

Blood and thunder, champions of the Horde!  We fight on this day for our fallen brothers and sisters!  Mourn them not for they all died with honor in their hearts!

Though we face great conflict, our might combined shall obliterate those who would oppose us!  The grave injustices committed against the Horde will be met by an unstoppable force of reckoning!

Demolitionist: We’ll burn it to the ground before giving it to you!  This one is for Saurfang!

Thrall: The battle for the Undercity begins now!  Sound the horns of war!  Champions of the Horde, be empowered by the might of your Warchief! ONWARD!  Great wind brother, clear our path!  You must answer to the elements, demon!

Note: The Horde and you get irradiated by thunder from the sky, debuffing you with the Warchief’s Blessing: Be bathed in the power of the Warchief!  Drink in his might!  Battle for the glory of the Horde.

Thrall, Sylvannas and Vol’jin march to the entrance of the Ruins of Lordaeron and dismount. Thrall calls upon the elements to clear his path. Tornadoes push the poisonous blight clouds away. Upon reaching the courtyard gardens Varimathras phases-in to mock Thrall.

Thrall: You must answer to the elements demon!

Varimathras: Welcome to my kingdom of darkness!  Did you enjoy my minion’s terrible creation? Potent, is it not?  But enough prattling!  You wish to reclaim your city?  Come then, heroes!  Your souls will fuel the host!  You will have this place back in pieces!

Thrall: Great water spirit, wash away this corruption!

Note: A huge water tide emerges in front of Thrall washing away every Undead and blight on its path from the courtyard to the throne room bridge in real-time as Varimathras escapes through a shadow portal.

Thrall: ATTACK!

Quests TranscriptVideos | Part 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6

The Battle For The Undercity is one of the many examples of Phasing Quest System technology in action.  While a level 15 is in the Royal Quarter in Undercity turning in the quest: Lament of the Highborne (sung by Sylvanas), and a level 40 player is doing the Razorfen Kraul quest from Varimathras, at that same moment and space level 74 players are smacking the heck out of Varimathras in The Battle For The Undercity.  It is not a dungeon. See, if you are flagged with the quest at level 74-80, you are phased in and all the Vendor NPCs, and players are phased out. Only those who are flagged can play alongside you.

It is the same undercity, just you can’t see the NPCs and players that aren’t flagged to the phased event. This technology has so many possibilities to progress the World of Warcraft storyline without affecting low level player quests. While a low level player is doing the Missing Diplomat he is flagged to see Lady Prestor, Bolvar and Anduin. At that very moment, a level 74 player is not seeing Lady Prestor nor Bolvar in the Throne Room. He is flagged to see Anduin and his father Varian.

The following quest is available at Agmar’s Hammer fortress in Dragonblight, by the mailbox near Agmar’s chamber. Messenger Torvus will have a quest for you.

Messenger Torvus: Pssst … Over here, by the mailbox.  Come quickly and make sure you aren’t followed.

(Torvus shakes your hand, giving you a letter in the process.)

(Torvus speaks under his breath.)

Messenger Torvus: Just play along, (name).

It is good to see you here, soldier!  Lord Hellscream has undoubtedly sent his strongest warriors to Lord Agmar!

(Torvus speaks under his breath.)

Read it and then destroy it in the fire pot next to me.

(Read the Letter from Saurfang and then destroy it. Speak to Messenger Torvus once you have completed this task.)

If you are reading this letter then you are alive and in one piece – or at least you still have your eyes.

I must apologize for the secrecy.  Agmar demands that all mail is read before delivery – too many traitors and thieves there.  As the wanted poster no doubt displays.  There are delicate matters herein that could easily be misconstrued by the new guard.

For a soldier of the Horde, loss is absolute.  Loss means death and there is no negotiation or interpretation with death.  One can only hope that the manner of their death was honorable.

But victory … Victory can mean many things.  As you have probably noticed, the Kor’kron are there in full force.  The Warchief has sent his elite guard to help secure victory in Northrend.  They, along with you and other heroes, are pushing the Lich King and his forces towards an inevitable conclusion.  With each challenge you overcome, we are one step closer to ridding our world of Arthas and the Scourge.

And therein lays the dilemma.  For you see, our forces in Northrend work under the auspices of young Hellscream.  Each victory bolsters the morale of the Horde Forces here.  Which carries through to the rest of Azeroth.

It is unfortunate, then, that Hellscream employs such savage tactics.  As victory approaches, Hellscream gains further justification for his methods, which in turn brings us closer to a place we have not been in many years; a dark place.

I have sent my son to command our forces at the Wrathgate.  I know that he will battle with honor and I remain hopeful that his courage and tenacity will be noticed and emulated by our forces.  He is my heart and strength in a place that I cannot be … You will be my eyes and ears.  Together, we will make it right.

Blood and Thunder … May your arrival bring them both.

(Note: On the left of the mailbox is a glittering brazier. When placing your mouse cursor over it, it says: “Burning Brazier.  Requires Letter from Saurfang.”  Click it, and the letter is removed from your inventory, successfully destroying the letter. Talk to Messenger Torvus again.)

Onscreen: Letter from Saurfang read and destroyed. (complete)

(Torvus nods at you.)

Messenger Torvus: So we are understood?  I will return to my lord and tell him that you have accepted.

Note: Probably this quest makes you Revered with the Warsong Offensive.

Fly to the top of Wyrmrest Temple to talk to Queen Alexstrasza. To access this quest it seems you must have done all quests from Alexstrasza in Dragonblight and all quests in Agmar’s Hammer.

With Antiok slain and the scythe in our possession, the frost wyrm assaults upon your forces at Angrathar will halt.  The wyrms that remain in the Dragonblight will be hunted and destroyed, their bones returning to the earth.

The time to make your final stand is now, (name).  Return to the Kor’kron Vanguard and notify Saurfang the Younger.

(Speak with Saurfang the Younger at the Kor’kron Vanguard and tell him of your victory over the Scourge.)

Saurfang the Younger: My father has gifted me with his armor and axe.  Soon I put it to use.

My father was right about you, (name).  Everything that he said has come to pass – only one final duty remains unfulfilled.  I will now lead the Kor’kron to the front line.  The time to end this war is at hand.  The Lich King’s tyranny ends today!

Take my post now,  (name), and stand guard over our forces.

(At this point, Phase-technology kicks in. Saurfang the Younger phases out, and Alexstrasza and Krasus phase-in in front of the Wrathgate. Everything is set ablaze, and Horde/Alliance flee in terror. Screams can be heard. Watch video above to reference this point.  Alexstrasza has an option that sets you to ask her to show you what has happened. An EPIC in-game Cinematic is launched)

You: Alexstrasza, can you show me what happened here? (image)

Korialstrasz: My Queen, do they know?

Alexstrasza the Life-Binder whispers: Come to me, (name).

Korialstrasz: My Queen, do they know?

Alexstrasza the Life-Binder: No, my beloved.  [Draconic] Ashj zila gul kirasath lok ante il lok buras danashj Gul gul.

(Korialstrasz nods.)

Korialstrasz: They will not.

The following quest is given by Queen Alexstrasza at the Wrathgate in Dragonblight.

Queen Alexstrasza: Darkness stirs, (name). A tragic event has transpired that none but the Timeless One could have foreseen. Soon your people will be gripped by anger and hatred. War is on the horizon.

The red dragonflight has done all that it can. What happens next is in the hands of the mortal races of Azeroth.

Regrettably, your journey begins with anguish. A father has lost a child today. You must bear the grim news. Gather the armaments of Saurfang and return them to the elder Saurfang.

(Gather Saurfang’s Battle Armor from the field of battle and return it to High Overlord Saurfang at Warsong Hold in Borean Tundra.)

Note: Travel to Warsong Hold in the Borean Tundra, and meet High Overlord Saurfang there.

(Saurfang’s face contorts.)

Saurfang: My heart … my strength …

(You present to Saurfang, Saurfang’s Battle Armor. A sign that his son has perished in combat.)

(Saurfang looks to the heavens.)

Like Brox, my son died a hero.  Do not mourn him, (name).  For an orc, there could be no better end!  No greater honor!  At this moment, my heart swells with pride.

I thank you for returning our battle armor.  It will be placed upon his pyre at the Ancestral Grounds of Nagrand.

We must turn our full attention to more pressing matters.

High Overlord Saurfang: The Warchief needs you, champion.  Orgrimmar is in a state of martial law.  All merchants and services have been shut down as the Warchief prepares for an unavoidable conflict.

I cannot tell you much more – not now.  Not in this place.

The Warchief commands that our strongest champions report to his throne room.  Go now, (name)!  Take the portal back to Orgrimmar and seek out Thrall.

(Report to Thrall at Grommash Hold in Orgrimmar.)

Note: As you teleport to the front gates of Orgrimmar, outdoors, you see Forsaken Refugees on both sides of the road.  More refugees keep coming out of the Zeppelin tower.

Below are some quotes of what the Forsaken Refugees say:

  • We’ve lost Undercity. Nothing but demons and Putress’ apothecaries left there …
  • We Forsaken are doomed! Take pity!
  • They killed hundreds! We barely escaped with our lives! Help!
  • The Dark Lady fought off as many as she could, but in the end … I hope she survived. Please help!
  • Could you spare a gold?
  • Help us! Please!
  • You must help! We’re homeless!

Note: Inside Orgrimmar all the merchants including the Innkeeper, Gamon, and Auctioneers are aligned in front of the Bank demanding answers from Overlord Runthak.

  • Kaja: We demand answers!
  • Sana: What are all these Forsaken doing here?
  • Innkeeper Gryshka: What are all these Forsaken doing here?
  • Felika: When can we reopen our shops? I’m losing gold here! Why is Thrall allowing this to happen to our city?
  • Auctioneer Thathung: This is an outrage!
  • Kaja: Where is the Warchief?
  • Sana: Why is the city under lock down?
  • Overlord Runthak: SILENCE!  We are on the brink of all out war with the Alliance!  Tragic events have unfolded in Northrend.  The Warchief is doing all that he can to keep us safe. All services and shops are to remain closed until further notice! That is all!

Note: As you approach Thrall in Grommash Hold, Orgrimmar, a portal suddenly materializes behind you putting the Kor’kron Elite to full alert, but Thrall stops them.

Thrall: Kor’kron, stand down!  Jaina…

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: Thrall, what has happened?  The King is preparing for war …

Thrall: Jaina, what happened at the Wrath Gate. It was a betrayal from within …

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner: Lady Proudmoore, the Warchief speaks the truth.  This subterfuge was set in motion by Varimathras and Grand Apothecary Putress.  It was not the Horde’s doing. As the combined Horde and Alliance forces began their assault upon the Wrath Gate, an uprising broke out in the Undercity.  Varimathras and hordes of his demonic brethren attacked. Hundreds of my people were slain in the coup.  I barely managed to escape with my life.

Thrall: The Horde has lost the Undercity. We now prepare to lay siege to the city and bring in the perpetrators of the unforgivable crime to justice. Know this, Jaina: War with the Alliance is not in our best interests. If we are forced into a conflict, the Lich King will destroy our divided forces in Northrend. We will make this right, Jaina. Tell your king all that you have learned here.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore:  I will deliver this information to King Wrynn, Thrall, but… Bolvar was like a brother to him. In the King’s absence, Bolvar kept the Alliance united. He found strength for our people in our darkest hours. He watched over Anduin, raising him as his own. I fear that the rage will consume him, Thrall.  I remain hopeful that reason will prevail, but we must prepare for the worst … for war. Farewell, Warchief.  I pray that the next time we meet it will be as allies.

The demon lord, Varimathras, and the Forsaken’s chief apothecary, Putress, are responsible for this betrayal.

(Thrall nods.)

Yes, the same Putress responsible for discovering the cure for the recent Scourge plague outbreak.

Those that would not side with their regime have been executed or banished. Sylvanas was nearly killed in the coup.

The Horde has lost the Undercity. Orgrimmar will take on the Forsaken refugees until there is a resolution to this crisis.  For now we are under martial law.

On the day of my death I wish to be able to say that I lived a life without regret. Those who mourn my passing will know that I was a Warchief who made decisions that best served his people.

But this betrayal by Varimathras and Putress… All that we have worked for is for nothing.

(Thrall’s chest heaves with a heavy sigh.)

Justice must be served.

Portals to Undercity will be active momentarily. Vol’jin will be waiting for you. I will meet you there soon. Together we will make it right, (name).

(Take the portal to Undercity located in Grommash Hold and report to Vol’jin.)

Thrall: Kor’kron, prepare transport to Undercity.

The first quest starts in Wintergarde Keep after you complete Rescue from Town Square and The Demo-gnome.  The quest that starts this epic questline is titled Into Hostile Territory.

Below some incomplete quests in the meantime.

To start the long questline toward Battle For The Undercity, go to Star’s Rest in Dragonblight. Just southwest of Agmar’s Hammer.  You will find an injured human inside a tent: Courier Lanson. He gives you the quest: Of Traitors and Treason. Deliver the letter to High Commander Halford Wyrmbane at Wintergarde Keep in Dragonblight.

Halford gives you the quest: Naxxramas and the Fall of Wintergarde—and sends you to talk to Gryphon Commander Urik at the gryphon station in Wintergarde Keep.  Urik gives the quest: Flight of the Wintergarde Defender—and provides a whistle to call forth a flying mount at level 73. It can only be used in Wintergarde and the Carrion Fields. Rescue 10 Helpless Wintergarde Villagers.

The next quest is titled: Return to the High Commander. Back to High Commander Halford Wyrmbane, he gives the quest: Rescue from Town Square. When you accept this quest, he will offer a second quest: The Demo-Gnome.  Demo-Gnome leads to a second quest: The Search For Slinkin. Slinkin’s corpse inside the Wintergarde Mine gives the quest: Leave Nothing to Chance.

Finish these two mini-questlines that split off in sub-branches:

– Rescue from Town Square
– The Demo-Gnome

… and eventually they converge back to High Commander Halford Wyrmbane … to unlock the questline toward The Battle For The Undercity Series (Alliance version). The Battle For the Undercity questline starts once you obtain the first quest out of twenty-one: Into Hostile Territory.

SPOILER: Alexstrasza in her dragon form (new model) offers an option to talk to her.  You ask: “Alexstrasza, what happened here?”—when you click the bubble in the quest window, an in-game cinematic is triggered. If you don’t want that spoiled, don’t watch the following video. Otherwise, dool.

Our fate is emblazoned upon our souls at birth. Bolvar’s fall, while tragic, was unavoidable.

All that you can do now is honor your hero, . Collect Bolvar’s shield from the field of battle and return it to your king. When you present the shield to Varian, tell him this: “All is not lost. From the ashes of the fallen will rise a force that will unite nations and purge the evil from this world.”

He mustn’t lose faith. Go now, (name). Your people need a hero. They need you.

(Gather Fordragon’s Shield from the field of battle at Angrathar the Wrath Gate and return it to King Varian Wrynn at Stormwind Keep in Stormwind City.)

At the behest of Lady Proudmoore, I will allow a diplomatic mission to Orgrimmar to question the Horde’s Warchief, Thrall. You will assist her in this journey and keep her safe from harm. Return to me with news from Orgrimmar.

Speak to Jaina when you are ready to leave.

Assist Lady Jaina Proudmoore in Orgrimmar.  Speak to the Warchief of the Horde, , Thrall, at Orgrimmar on the continent of Kalimdor.

Your champion, Bolvar, died in defense of our world. The Horde is saddened by the loss of such a great hero, but the Horde was not responsible for the cowardly attacks made by Putress at the Wrath Gate. We have also lost mighty heroes because of this betrayal.

Tell your king that we will do everything in our power to bring the perpetrators of this cowardly act to justice. We will do all that we can to avoid conflict with the Alliance, but we will not hesitate to defend ourselves if provoked.

(Use the portal in Grommash Hold to return to Stormwind Keep and deliver Thrall’s message to King Varian Wrynn.)

I sent Broll and Valeera to the Undercity before you left for Orgrimmar. In fact, they’re now stationed outside the sewer entrance to the ruins, awaiting orders.

Lady Proudmoore will open a portal to our forces outside the Undercity. Go there and report to Broll. Jaina and I will be close behind.

(Use the Portal to the Undercity inside Stormwind Keep to teleport to the Undercity. Report to Broll Bearmantle when you arrive at your destination.)

Deep inside the bowels of the Undercity hides the assassin responsible for the deaths of Bolvar and our brave soldiers at the Wrath Gate.

Varian has brought the full might of the Alliance with him to assist in the take down. Join him and Lady Proudmoore in the manhunt and earn your place among the greatest champions of the Alliance!

Speak to King Varian Wrynn when you are ready.

(Assist King Varian Wrynn and Lady Jaina Proudmoore in bringing Grand Apothecary Putress to justice! Report to King Varian Wrynn should you succeed.)

NOTE: I don’t have a level 75 Alliance character to test this.  Here is a rough transcript submited by Zato and Tito from Blizzard-rus for our article.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: Thrall, what has happened? The King is preparing for war.

Thrall: Jaina, what happened at the Wrath Gate, it was a betrayal from within…

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner: Lady Proudmoore, the Warchief speaks the truth. This subterfuge was set in motion by Varitmathras and Grand Apothecary Putress. It was not the Horde’s doing.

Lady Sylvanas Windrunner: As the combined Horde and Alliance forces began their assault upon the Wrath Gate, an uprising broke out in the Undercity. Varitmathras and hordes of his demonic brethren attacked. Hundreds of my people were slain in the coup. I barely managed to escape with my life.

Thrall: The Horde has lost the Undercity.  We now prepare to lay siege to the city and bring the perpetrators of this unforgivable crime to justice. Know this Jaina: War with the Alliance is not in our best interests. If we are forced into a conflict, the Lich King will destroy our divided forces in Northrend. We will make this right, Jaina. Tell your king all that have learned here.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: I will deliver this information to King Wrynn, Thrall but… Bolvar was like a brother to him. In the King’s absence, Bolvar kept Alliance united. He found strength for our people in our darkest hours. He watched over Anduin, raising him as his own.

I fear that rage will consume him, Thrall. I remain hopeful that reason will prevail, but we must prepare for the worst … for war. Farewell, Warchief. I pray that the next time we meet it will be as allies.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: What’s happened here? There are corpses everywhere… the stench.

King Varian Wrynn: Horde. By the looks of the struggle, they are here in force – somewhere. Stay alert and on guard. There’s no telling what horrors await us. ONWARD!

Note: After Putress’s death.

King Varian Wrynn: What say you now, Putress? Look around you, brothers and sisters. Open your eyes! Look at what they have done to our kingdom! How much longer will we allow these savages free reign in our world? I have seen the Horde’s world. I have been inside their cities. Inside their minds… I know what evil lies in the hearts of orcs.

Thrall: [Orcish] Mog Osh’kazil gul’rok il mog Ro’th zaga maza TOV’OSH

King Varian Wrynn: THRALL! Here? ONWARD! We end this now!

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: Varian. stop! I won’t help you do this!

King Varian Wrynn: The orcs have a battle cry: LOK’TAR OGAR! It means “Victory or death.” Fitting… To the throne room! I was away for too long. My absence cost us the lives of some of greatest heroes. Trash like you and this evil witch were allowed to roam free—unchecked.

The time has come to make things right. To disband your treacherous kingdom of murderers and thieves. Putress was the first strike. Many more will come. I’ve waited a long time for this, Thrall. For every time I was thrown into one of your damned arenas… for every time I killed a green-skinned aberration like you… I could only think of one thing. What our world could be without you and your twisted Horde… It ends now, Warchief.

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: VARIAN. NO! STOP!

(Jaina freezes everyone in the room. And teleports the Alliance back to Stormwind)

Lady Jaina Proudmoore: It did not have to be like this…

King Varian Wrynn: For too long have the Horde been left unchecked. We allowed their territories to prosper and in return for our generosity they plotted and planned our demise. Peace? Useless… It’s gotten us nowhere. We have lost some of our greatest heroes ‘to “peace.” Let us see what battle brings…

Return to Northrend. Conquer it for your king – FOR THE ALLIANCE!
