The World of Warcraft: Wolfheart front cover is now available. The artwork scheme resembles that of World of Warcraft: Thrall, Twilight of the Aspects.
Very interesting stuff going on. The artwork in the Wolfheart cover is King Varian Wrynn. Will the book explore in-depth the Lo’gosh side of Varian and its connection with the demigod wolf Goldrinn, and — should I dare — the Worgen?

I don’t like how Blizzard pushes Varian as the leader of the Alliance.
1. King Magni is currently crystallized, and the dwarven kingdom is leaderless, reigned by a council.
2. Velen is all about yoga and meditation. Hummmmmm.
3. Genn has no nation anymore to call home.
4. Jaina might be a good leader of the alliance but she’s already busy with Theramore matters and the new Council of Tirisfal — caring not only for the alliance but all races and the whole of Azeroth. Take also in consideration she is biased and won’t go to war against the horde — which would tag her as a traitor if the people sees inaction if anyone in the Horde massacres the Alliance.
5. Varian is a extraordinary warrior able to go toe to toe with Garrosh and the Horde. That was what the comic book introduced. A gladiator with the spirit of the wolf pumping savagery in combat into his veins. Only problem is there’s no wisdom where there is rage.
Well, that’s just the thing. My issue is not with Varian specifically. I am against the Alliance having a singular leader. It goes against the concept of it being an alliance.
King Terenas was arguably the leader of the older Alliance.
That’s not to say the various other nation/race leaders didn’t have any power over their own people or something, but Terenas was clearly The Dude In Charge, and the other leaders have been depicted following his plans and showing deference to him.
Since Stormwind is the new strong power of the current Alliance in much the way Lordaeron once was, it makes sense (to me, anyway) that Varian would take on that role.
