Currently, in World of Warcraft: Forever (Beta), there is a massive line of Druid players from both factions trying to unlock the Cat form. The way to unlock the Cat form was poorly designed. You have to stand in front of three cat statues in the Stormrage Barrow Dens (Moonglade). The statues detect your presence and buff you to become stealthed, then you have to click an orb on the ground in front of the statue and channel for a few seconds. Then you loot a relic item.

The problem is that only one player can loot this relic at a time. When multiple players click the orb, it bugs out, and no one can loot it. Many people have stood in a civilized line waiting their turn for 8-12 hours to have no luck looting it. The line has been going on for days.

There are three other factors further complicating the bottleneck:

  • Players who walk in see the line of players but ignore it and go straight to the orb to spam-click it in an attempt to loot the item.
  • PvP Griefers: Two druid factions (Alliance and Horde) in one spot is a recipe for disaster.
  • Allegedly, someone was so pissed off that they set up a multi-bot to click the orb. They have seen at least the same 5 players standing on the statue, spam-clicking the orb.

For starters, open-world PvP has no place in a PvE server. Mind you… The 2004 game was designed by two PvP grievers. You should listen to what they have said in podcasts about PvE players. PvP in a PvE server should be limited to battlegrounds, where you consent. PvE players rely on NPCs to get their quests done and desire an untarnished level up experience where their NPCs aren’t killed and exploited. Instead, we have PvP griefers killing NPCs to prevent the other faction from progressing.

You want open-world PvP? Go to the damn PvP server. That’s how it should be designed. Why? People get frustrated. Some stop their subscription. Those who don’t unsubscribe have to spend hours in frustration. At least the new sharding system alleviates PvP griefers killing NPCs with isolated layers that you can switch to, but it takes a while to kick in some places, or not at all.

Stormrage Barrow Den should be a Sanctuary, meaning none of the two factions should be able to PvP or prevent the other faction from completing their form quests. That could help Druids complete their quests to unlock forms.

The Stormrage Barrow Dens should be sharded. If one statue bugs out, go to the next layer.

Hopefully, the developers find a way to fix this issue, because on November 4, 2026, players who rolled Druid are going to wish they had rolled a different Class.
