Portal Rooms | Patch 8.1.5

World of Warcraft Patch 8.1.5 introduced the new Portal Rooms in Stormwind and Orgrimmar.

February 5 update: The portals have been redesigned in the latest 8.1.5 build 29281. The portals are 3 times bigger to make the city destination portrait more detailed. No swirl. Sound has been updated and it is less annoying and less loud.

The Stormwind Portal Room is located at the same place Alliance players went to in the Mage Quarter.

The Stormwind Portal Room has a portal to:

  • Paw’don Village (The Jade Forest, Pandaria)
  • Shattrath
  • Exodar
  • Dalaran (Crystalsong Forest, Northrend)
  • Stormshield (Ashran, Draenor AU)
  • Boralus (Tiragarde Sound, Kul Tiras)
  • Azsuna (Broken Isles)

To travel to the Dark Portal, you must interact with Honor Hold Mage at the entrance to the tower of the Mage Quarter.

The Orgrimmar Portal Room is located at the inner tunnel of the main gates of Orgrimmar.

The Orgrimmar Portal Room has a portal to:

  • Silvermooon City
  • Shattrath
  • Warspear (Ashran, Draenor AU)
  • Azsuna (Broken Isles)
  • Zuldazar (Zandalar)
  • Honeydew Village (The Jade Forest, Pandaria)
  • Dalaran (Crystalsong Forest, Northrend)
