Shadowlands Pre-Launch: Death Rising Videos

The Shadowlands Pre-Launch: Death Rising event tells us the story after the Shadowlands Cinematic Trailer. That trailer showed us that Sylvanas defeated Bolvar the Lich King, and split the Helm of Domination in half, triggering the sky to shatter and open a breach into the Shadowlands realm.

In the pre-launch event: Death Rising, players are summoned to Lor’Themar (Horde) or Genn Greymane (Alliance).

Immediately, we are shown a placeholder cinematic or cutscene that is meant to contain the kidnapping of Thrall and Baine (Horde) or Anduin and Jaina (Alliance). From the text, we learn that Forsworn (former winged Kyrian) descended from the sky and kidnapped them.

Apparently, the Horde and Alliance forces have come to Icecrown in search of the kidnapped leaders. It is after the thorough campaign in Icecrown that they find out that the kidnapped leaders aren’t anywhere in Icecrown, leading Genn to consider the possibility that Sylvanas has taken them into the realms of Death.

In these videos, you can watch the entire questline for Week 1 and Week 2. The event will last 5-weeks. Each week, a new questline advancing the story into the Icecrown Citadel Daily will be unlocked, and two new Daily Quests will appear in Icecrown.

ALLIANCE

The Alliance version shows Genn Greymane, Taelia Fordragon, Shandris Feathermoon, High Inquisitor Whitemane and Mathias Shaw at the Lion’s Rest in Stormwind. You must gather reports from Goldshire all the way to Darkshire in Duskwood. The Undead Scourge has been invading every outpost.

There are two quests after this: Kill Nathanos and go to Icecrown to assist the Argent Dawn.
