The War Within 11.0.7 introduces the new Fate of the Kirin Tor questline which is split into two chapters: Arcane Desolation, and Strength Amidst Ruins. The questline starts with Khadgar at the Foundation Hall in Dornagal. From there, the player meets with Archmage Aethas Sunreaver at Dalaran’s crash site in the western Isle of Dorn area.
The Kirin Tor is not over, but Aethas ponders whether to rebuild Dalaran or take a different approach for the future of their council.
Fate of the Kirin Tor
Unable to bring himself to go near Dalaran again, Khadgar asked you to find Aethas near where Dalaran fell at the crash site.

| At Mourning Rise, you and Kalecgos found Dalaran artifacts among the kobolds. One of them, an amulet, curses you. The curse sent you and Kalecgos to Kel'Thuzad's pocket dimension where he hid nefarious experiments. You convince his mirror image to let you both leave. |

| Jaina and a few other mages arrived heeding Aethas's call. Jaina realized that the nerubians had stolen Dalaran artifacts as well. You and Jaina set off to Azj-Kahet. Upon your arrival, Jaina found a mana bomb built by the nerubians using schematics found in the ruins. After disarming the bomb, Jaina teleports away to destroy it safely. You stay to find, secure, and destroy other powerful artifacts. |
