3:30pm - 4:30pm -- Creating Immersive Game Story
Game industry veterans George Krstic (head of story, creative development at Blizzard), Leah Hoyer (VP of creative, Telltale Games), and Guillaume Colomb (narrative lead at Bungie) discuss strategies for creating immersive game narrative. They'll share behind-the-scenes stories and lessons learned while making some of the industry's most successful games.

5pm - 6pm -- Console Yourself: Video Game Comics and Books
Video game franchises have found a foothold in comics at Dark Horse. With a line of video game-related comics and deluxe art books, including the bestselling World of Warcraft Chronicle, The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts, and The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda, the publisher now works with the biggest studios and brands in the business. Dark Horse editors and representatives from BioWare and Blizzard will be on hand with news and announcements on all your favorite video game tie-ins. Panelists include Ian Tucker (Dark Horse editor), Mac Walters (creative director of Mass Effect franchise), Robert Simpson (lead editor in publishing at Blizzard Entertainment).

Writers for games and virtual reality talk about the industry's next big thing. What's different about writing for virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR)? And how does it change the way gamers interact with your games? Game writers and industry professionals discuss the potential pitfalls and challenges of this next leap in technology as well as the potential for new narratives moving forward. Panelists include Jonathan Callan (senior writer, Survios and "Raw Data"), Collin Kelly (writer, adviser to the USC Games Program), Andrew Robinson (senior writer, Animation and Cinematics at Blizzard Entertainment), Nathan Burba (chief executive officer, Survios), and James Iliff (co-founder/chief creative officer at Survios).

Overwatch developers Michael Chu (lead writer), Arnold Tsang (assistant art director), Renaud Galand (lead character artist), and Geoff Goodman (principal game designer) give you a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process of developing the story, art, and gameplay for Overwatch's newest hero. Learn more about Overwatch hero design and participate in Q&A with the developers.

With the ability to build massive interactive video game worlds and the rise of virtual reality technology, creators now have the ability to tell complex and immersive stories that can span hundreds or even thousands of hours. This group of panelists will discuss how creators can turn a story concept into a boundless world inhabited by countless threads of drama and adventure. Moderator Neo Edmund (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the Red Riding Alpha Huntress series) is joined by Andrew Robinson (senior writer at Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch), James Waugh (VP development, LucasFilm), Micky Neilson (New York Times bestselling author, World of Warcraft: Ashbringer, The Howling), and Jonathan Callan (writer, Justice League Action; senior writer, Survios).
