Blizzard Entertainment and Bungie are preparing to start the Destiny 2 (PC) Beta testing on August 28 — for those who pre-ordered the game. Starting today, the Destiny 2 (PC) installer became enabled in the Blizzard Launcher. The game takes 16GB of hard disk space.

I will livestream my Destiny 2 gameplay when the beta goes live. Make sure to follow us on Twitter and YouTube for updates.

The latest installer is currently Destiny 2 (PC) Version 3811885a-Beta.

Destiny 2 (PC) Beta starts officially on August 29 for everyone, but those who pre-order Destiny 2 (PC) get 1-day ahead of everyone else with an Early-Access codekey. For those who want a seamless experience at cancelling the pre-order you can get it here.

Within 2-3 days you will get an email from Amazon with the Beta Early-Access code. At that point:

1. To redeem the code, go to (if you don’t have a Bungie account.)

2. Please choose a network to sign in with: PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, or Blizzard (Choose Blizzard).

3. Login using your Blizzard account credentials when the pop up window appears. It uses the Blizzard Oauth.

4. Go to to redeem your code.

5. I am uncertain if they will give you another code. If they do give you another code, then it must be redeemed at

If no code is provided at the Bungie Redeem Code page, then you are set already to download Destiny 2 (PC) on August 28 from your Blizzard Launcher.

The second option (if you don’t plan to cancel the pre-order) is to pre-order directly from Blizzard here.

The Destiny 2 (PC) Early-Access Beta starts on August 28 via the Blizzard Launcher. Everyone else gets access to beta on August 29. Beta ends on August 31. After that, Destiny 2 goes live for PC on October 24.

Those who pre-ordered Destiny 2 can get a redeem code within 3 days to participate in the Destiny 2 PC Beta test. As of July 12, you can now link your Bungie and Blizzard Launcher authentication login (details here).

Just click the login link at the top-right of the Bungie website, and you will see three options: PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Blizzard.

Bungie announced the beta schedule for Destiny 2 for PC and Consoles (PS4 & XBox One). The launch date for Destiny 2 for Consoles is set two days earlier than originally announced: now September 6. You can then redeem the code by login into with the Xbox or PS4 login credentials.

If you don’t have an Xbox, but you have a hotmail or outlook email account, that is your login credential. Go to the Redeem Code page and enter the code there. Then you are set. Blizzard Entertainment will flag your Blizzard Launcher once the Destiny 2 Beta starts for PC this late August.

Go to and follow the instructions on the page. You will be required to log in with a valid account, verify your accessible email address, and enter your Destiny 2 Beta redemption code.

I don’t have a PlayStation Network or Xbox Live account. How do I redeem my PC Beta Code?

Your Beta platform will be selected closer to the Beta launch, so PC players can redeem now using a account linked to a PlayStation or Xbox account. If you don’t have either of those accounts, hold on to your code and we’ll add additional account options for PC players when we get closer to the Beta.
