Post-BlizzCon 2017: The Unknown Mysteries of Battle for Azeroth

The new expansion announcement of World of Warcraft: Battle of Azeroth revealed awesome details about the next chapter in the history of Azeroth, but it also left many unknown mysteries in its wake.

Alex Afrasiabi dropped a mega bomb on our collective minds with the following statement: “Now some of you might be asking: Hey, Alex. Why would the Alliance attack the Undercity? It is a good question. It is a good question. Here is a better question: why would the Horde burn down Teldrassil? Did Teldrassil fall first, and lead to the attack of Undercity; or was the burning of Teldrassil a response to the bold Alliance attack on Lordaeron? You will find out. Think about this: the stage is set for an Alliance-controlled Eastern Kingdoms, and a Horde-controlled Kalimdor with one great big sea separating the two continents — which leads us to our search for allies.” — reference: BlizzCon 2017 World of Warcraft: What’s Next Panel Transcript (page 1)

NYCC 2017: Glenn Rane Signing Warcraft Posters

Those coming to the New York Comic Con should head to the Artists Alley at booth A8 to meet-and-greet Glenn Rane (Blizzard Entertainment Art Director). He is selling posters based on Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo and signing them for you.

SDCC 2017: Christie Golden Writing a New World of Warcraft Novel

Christie Golden surprised via Twitter announcing that she is currently writing a new World of Warcraft novel. Her last novel was technically World of Warcraft: War Crimes (2014) set at the end of Mists of Pandaria. Feels so long ago, right? Her most recent projects have been focused on the Warcraft film: Warcraft: Durotan and the Warcraft Official Movie Novelization. Christie has also being busy with novels based on other franchises.

The question is whether her 6-month work at the Blizzard Headquarters is specifically for this new novel, or if it also includes game story development.

Potential Expansion Leak in the 7.3. PTR

UPDATE: As several people have pointed out on Twitter, I shamefully forgot to mention another expansion leak via-dataming, done by our very own contributor Handclaw. The article has been updated with this information.

WoWhead has broke news about the recent patch 7.3 PTR build which could potentially be a look into the next expansion. A set of armor named after Kul Tiras has been datamined, in a situation eerily similar to three previous expansion leaks accomplished via datamining. Read on past the jump to learn more about these past leaks and what this might mean for expansion seven.
