Blizzard Entertainment is backing a Kickstarter project by KODE13, LLC that brings World of Warcraft to a tabletop strategy game platform. GameVaults: World of Warcraft Edition has 600 pieces and features 5 Alliance and 5 Horde faction leaders. Whichever faction player 1 chooses, he can only pick 4 Heroes:
- Velen
- Varian Wrynn
- Gelbin Mekkatorque
- Tyrande Whisperwind
- Magni Bronzebeard
- Thrall
- Vol’jin
- Cairne Bloodhoof
- Sylvanas Windrunner
- Lor’themar Theron
The tabletop project comes in three editions: WoW Core Edition ($499), WoW Limited Edition ($499 — 1000 produced), and the OnyxEdition ($649). The GameVaults: World of Warcraft Edition is slated to ship in December 2021 only in the United States.
Player 2 doesn’t control heroes, but instead manages 20 Monsters — including:
- 4 Harpy
- 4 Kobold
- 4 Murloc
- 4 Naga
- 4 Yeti
The game also has 18 Element pieces:
