8.3 Horrific Vision of Stormwind and Orgrimmar

In order to survive the Horrific Vision of Stormwind and Orgrimmar, players need to acquire Wrathion’s Legendary Cloak: “Ashjra’kamas, Shroud of Resolve.” The cloak can be upgraded up to Rank 15 with Horrific Core. At Rank 15, the cloak reduces Sanity loss from all sources by 75% — which helps at the most difficult areas of the Horrific Vision of Stormwind and Orgrimmar.

Below is a map of both cities, and the amount of Sanity lost per second in the most difficult areas.

In order to enter any of the Horrific Vision scenarios, you need a Vessel of Horrific Visions.

You need to complete 8.3 Daily Quests given by the Blacktalon Agent in Uldum and Vale of Eternal Blossoms. You can watch gameplay videos of each daily quest here. He rewards 50 Coalescing Visions per daily quest. However, you need 1600 Coalescing Visions to combine them into a Vessel of Horrific Visions. Some of the Coalescing Visions can be farmed from random mobs inside the Uldum or Vale of Eternal Blossoms’ Vision of N’Zoth scenario — which you seem to be able to access once a day.

So far this multi-layered method or bottleneck to enter the Horrific Vision of Stormwind and Orgrimmar feels like the old-school Silithus farming to summon the Elemental Lords back in the Ahn’Qiraj days.

Below you can watch the Horrific Vision of Stormwind and Orgrimmar gameplay videos. This week you can access the easier boss encounters: Thrall; and Alleria Windrunner.
