Blizzard Entertainment will remove the Legendary Questline with the introduction of Warlords of Draenor. There is not a lot of time now for that to happen. My undead priest character has been level 85 for a long time, and decided to give it a try with the Gaze of the Black Prince in effect. The buff increases reputation by 100% and the chances to get a sigil or rune from the raids.

It was a challenge to do this thing from scratch after completing it long ago. There are a few hiccups as you go if you start the legendary questline. If you are already level 90, skip the part below.

From Level 85 – 90 in 2 Days

In my case, I leveled up from 85 to 90 in two days. The tactic here is to queue dungeons while you complete quests in the Jade Forest. I completed quests up to the Hozen area, then explored all of the Jade Forest, Krasarang Wilds, Valley of the Four Winds, and Kun-Lai Summit. If you have mining or herbalism, grab all the minerals or herbs you find throughout your exploration. All the experience from just exploring and skill experience will get you around level 88, combined with a few dungeon runs. Make sure to do the quests inside the dungeons too.

In order to enter the Valley of Eternal Blossoms to access the capital city in Pandaria you need to complete a short questline in Kun-Lai Summit at level 88. Go to the Temple of the White Tiger and talk grab the quest there from Dezco or Anduin Wrynn. Eventually, the Celestials will open the gates to let you enter the Valley of Eternal Blossoms.

From level 88 to 90, keep queuing to do Dungeons, and explore, herb/mine Townlong Steppes and Dread Wastes. I accomplished all of this in two days — if you don’t do anything else on Saturday-Sunday.

Level 90 – Legendary Questline

At level 90, you will find a quest outside the capital cities in Pandaria. Grab the quest “Thunder Calls” — that quest lets you inside the Isle of Thunder. Go to the capital city inn, second floor, to grab the legendary questline. Travel to the Tavern of the Mists — located north of Valley of the Four Winds — there is a ladder going up the mountain toward Kun-Lai.

Inside the inn you may find Wrathion, who wants you to reach honored reputation with him (The Strength of One’s Foes) and to gather Sigils of Power and Wisdom (Trial of the Black Prince).

After you grab both quests, head out to the Shado-Pan Garrison in Townlong Steppes to start the Isle of Thunder questline. To my surprise, all the daily quests at the Thunder Isle are now optional, and now you complete a long series of consecutive scenarios streamlining the entire storyline. If you wish to do daily quests, click the table to choose PvE or PvP daily quests.

Mogu in the Isle of Thunder give 105 experience with The Black Prince.

Sigils

For the Sigils — you need to be iLevel 460 to enter the first raid at level 90 — Mogu’shan Palace. Go to the Timeless Isle and open all the chests you can find. These have a chance to drop an iLevel 496 item. If you don’t have these in your main character, then just farm the area. In a few hours you might get all six items which help you reach iLevel 460 to enter your first raid. Sigils drop like candy, and with everyone being high iLevel the raid runs are pretty fast.

The Timeless Isle drops: Head, Cloak, Leggings, Boots, Gloves, Ring, Belt — and probably more, but with 6 of them you can enter a raid.

Will I be able to get my second Legendary Cloak on an alt? Only time will tell. So far it has been very straight forward and quick. I am almost honored now in just a few hours. Got half both sigils in merely 3 raid runs.
