New Shadowlands Alpha build 34490 was deployed (1.48GB). I will update this page as I find new content in Shadowlands. Follow @blizzplanetcom on Twitter for notifications.
I can confirm that the level cap continues to be level 59. There is no level 60 content for testing in build 34490. Only Bastion and Revendreth remain available for testing. Ardenweald and Maldraxxus will be available in a future build.
Death Knight is the new class ready to test Torghast and anima powers.
TREASURE CHEST SYSTEM
There is a new system that seems not complete. It seems there will be a rotation of treasure chests that spawn in a specific zone. At the moment there are no chests when you get there in the map.
Searching this specific chest, I found out there are actually very well hidden caves in Bastion. I had to drop from a cliff to reach this cave that has no other means to get there unless you use a flying mount or drop down from the cliff.
Blizzard Entertainment deployed the Battle for Azeroth PTR 8.1 build 28202 today in the afternoon. The patch was 978MB+ in size. WoWHead has a bulk of new text strings composed of new Achievements, Professions, and Class changes.
What’s New in this build?
Zuldazar Incursion World quests and probably another in Kul Tiras. Before this new patch, testers could only complete Tiragarde Sound, Stormsong Valley, and Vol’dun.
These are some of the Horde incursion world quests in Zuldazar. Follow the links below to watch the videos:
I can’t say this is common, but in this new build as I prepared to engage some of the incursions, I saw a star moving on the map. I went to it, and it was a raptor rare elite named N’Chala the Egg Thief, which dropped a pet named Dasher. Seems Blizzard has heard feedback and marking special targets not only in the mini-map, but straight in the main map as well.
I am working on recording the Zuldazar Incursions. I’ll scout for more content. Stay tuned.
Patch 7.3.5 got a new hotfix rolled in to address a few unresolved issues in PvP, and PvE low level quests and dungeons. The Rogue class also got a couple hotfixes too.
Defeating Algalon should once again award the appropriate achievements.
Players can now correctly earn the achievement Souls of the Lost.
Fixed a bug that caused Greenskin’s Waterlogged Wristcuffs’s to be removed when Pistol Shot failed to cast.
Fixed a bug that prevented the gain of combo points after consuming the Regalia of the Dashing Scoundrel 4-piece set bonus.
Dungeons and Raids
Addressed an issue where the Drakonid would fail to spawn as expected.
Algalon the Observer
Made many tuning adjustments to Algalon to more closely match his difficulty in 7.3.2.
Temple of Ahn’Qiraj
Fixed a bug with the bugs despawning before players were able to loot them.
Fixed a bug where some low level items were not able to be disenchanted or transmogrified.
Fixed a bug where incorrect textures were present on the Wristclasps of Righteous Reckoning, Supreme Felchain Bracers, Bracers of Perfect Discomfort, and Terrorweave Wristwraps. This fix should provide the correct texture and restore set completion to some players.
Player versus Player
Character item level is now set to 950 during Tournament Rules Wargames.
Concordance of the Legionfall is now set to rank 20 during Tournament Rules Wargames.
The healing of Way of the Crane is properly decreased by healing reduction effects such as Dampening or Mortal Strike.
Neptulon’s Cache now drops the Remnant of Water for quest “Controlling the Elements”.
The Duskwood quest “Cry For the Moon” should now appear on the map if it is the next quest in the zone’s storyline.
Update: PvP Honor Talents System was introduced in this patch. Added video for the Rogue’s Honor Talents.
The area marked in the map below in Crimson Thicket (west of Jandbik) used to be empty. It is now populated with an elite Ettin giant, Moonfeather Prowlers, and Nightborne Withered.
Treasure Demons have been added. I found one in Suramar by Crimson Thicket. It was elite, and won’t attack you. It’s meant to be raided by a group. A gold amount window opens up in the middle of the screen for gold you loot from the Treasure demon. If he isn’t killed within a few seconds, he opens a portal and disappears. Reference to the Diablo III Treasure Goblins.
Teloth’aran in Crimson Thicket (Suramar) used to be empty. Now it has been populated with nasty spiders and nerubian(?) Vile Lurkers. Found 2 Crystalline Mana Shards, so it’s worth exploring it every few minutes.
Portals in Shal’Aran are now working as intended. Beta testers with NVIDIA cards are asked to switch to DirectX 9 (Advanced settings) and restart the game. There’s a DirectX11 issue with some cards.
New Legion login screen is available. It still has the Warlords of Draenor music, however.
The Map now shows a blue circle for the location of Dungeons, and a green circle for the location of raid portals. When you hover the mouse cursor over the circle it displays the name of the dungeon or raid.
