Blizzard COO Paul Sams revealed they are already playing the Next-Gen MMO some dub unofficially “Titan” internally. Paul Sams also implied the Next-Gen MMO is next after Diablo III ships.
GameBeat had a similar interview with Paul Sams early this week.
Just a few days ago, the Anaheim Convention Center website listed BlizzCon 2011 will use the entire facility. Will Blizzard showcase this game at BlizzCon 2011? That’s the enigma.
Paul Sams told Gamasutra: “As it relates to that other [MMO], we think that it’s going to be very impactful in our industry and, we hope, very impactful to the world,” Sams continued. “We think that that will be, after Diablo III, the next big thing from us. The thing that we hope will happen is that it will not stop World of Warcraft but we believe will eclipse it.”
“We’re very confident in that product. It’s an awesome one,” Sams added. “We’re playing it already. It is a total ball to play. We think that the reach of that product is greater than anything that we’ve done before. We’re very excited about that. I believe that it’s the type of game that will have a very long life, much like World of Warcraft has.”
No way it’s after D3 (unless they’re omitting expansions of already launched games, of course).
I’ll continue the discussion from here: http://www.blizzplanet.com/blog/comments/paul-sams-teases-blizzard-unannounced-mmo
BlizzCon 2011 could have D3 launched before it’s celebrated… so maybe, it’s a good opportunity for that new MMO. Maybe.
So well, seems the interview doesn’t say anything new, except “it’s playable”.
