Season 3, Ep. 8: Thresholds
1 — Boyd takes Fatima to a shack somewhere in the forest. The same Boyd took Sara to stay at before heading into the forest’s boundaries. No one has found Tillie’s corpse yet. However, it is a matter of time until Tillie is found, and being a stab in the heart in daylight will start an investigation to find the murderer. The punishment is to send the guilty one to the box.
Fatima explains to Boyd what happened. Fatima didn’t want to eat the rotten food anymore. Tillie came to help her. Fatima felt this wave of anger or rage come over her. Fatima says that the thing inside her controlled her. It was like she was there but not there. She felt her hand reach for the shears and she couldn’t stop. She didn’t want to kill Tillie.
Boyd says Fatima is going to stay in this shed tonight. He places a talisman at the door. Ellis and Boyd will figure out the best way to move forward. Fatima says there is no way forward.
Boyd asks her to look at him. Fatima is his family. They are going to find a way to deal with what happened. Boyd removes rotten food from his backpack. She refuses to eat from it again. Boyd says he doesn’t understand these cravings, but whatever she needs to do to feel okay, he will support it. If she needs to eat the rotten food, she eats.
Boyd says that the door stays closed no matter what. With the talisman on the door, she is going to be okay.
2 — Ethan, Jim, Tabitha, and Jade arrive at the town. Jim carries the last remaining food from the old settlement.
Jade parts ways and returns to the Bar. There he grabs a bottle but declines to drink. A clattering noise in another room of the Bar causes him to take the bottle as a weapon and move to investigate the source of the noise.
Jade approaches the room bottle in hand and Henry emerges from the room and apologizes. Jade asks who the hell he is. Jade hadn’t seen him yet as he was in the old settlement with Jim, Tabitha, and Ethan. Henry, Tabitha, Jim, and Boyd arrived at the Colony House in the ambulance the day Henry arrived, so Jade had not yet met Henry.
He introduces himself as Henry Kavanaugh. Jade is still lost. Henry says he probably knows his son, Victor. Jade lowers the bottle and says nice to meet you. Henry asks if he could go away with a little pick-me-up. Jade hands him the bottle and says help yourself.
3 — Marielle walks toward the Colony House with an emergency backpack to check on Fatima again.
A resident enters the greenhouse and shouts for help. He discovered Tillie’s corpse with the shears through her heart. Marielle asks him what’s going on. He says it is Tillie. She runs to assist however she can.
Elgin walks onto the porch and places the Polaroid camera on the rail to stare at what’s happening in the greenhouse. The Polaroid camera shutter clicks itself and whirs. A photo pops out and Elgin grabs it. This is a second method of how the mummified woman in a kimono suit communicates with him.
4 — Julie knocks Randall’s door at the Clinic. Julie is going back home now that her family has returned. She asks if he has seen Kristi or Marielle. He hasn’t. Julie asks if he can tell them thanks for letting her stay the night. Randall asks if he doesn’t get a thank you.
Julie smiles and says: “Thank you, Randall, for letting me stay at the place that Marielle and Kristi are letting you stay at.”
Randall responds she is welcome.
Julie says they should go back to the Tower Ruins they found in the forest and check it out.
Randall says that typically when a place makes the hair on the back of his neck stand up, it is enough for him to stay away. Julie says he also felt it. What if going there helps them–
Randall cuts her off and responds what if it makes it worse? Huh? There is nothing here that wants to help them. So she should stay the fuck away from that place.
5 — On their way up the hill to the Colony House, Boyd tells Ellis to say that he and Fatima stayed with Boyd last night. This lie is to draw away any suspicion that Fatima was involved in Tillie’s death.
Ellis asks his father what if they just say the truth and explain what happened? It wasn’t her fault. Boyd responds maybe some people will understand that, but there is no version of them explaining this away.
Ellis says they will put Fatima in the box. Boyd replies he won’t let that happen. He asks Ellis to go upstairs and pack some stuff for Fatima to spend at least two days at the shack.
Kenny shouts at Boyd to come to the greenhouse. Officer Acosta is at the murder scene. Boyd asks Kenny if he knows what happened or when. He doesn’t.
Acosta guesses those monsters that come at night don’t use gardening shears to kill people. She suggests they should talk to everyone in the Colony House. Kenny calls Boyd and signals with his head to answer Acosta.
Boyd says it is a good idea. He tells her to start talking to people. He will tell Ellis to come with him to the road. She asks why. Boyd replies this could have been done by someone we know or someone we don’t. They need to rule out the possibility that there were new arrivals yesterday that they aren’t aware of.
Boyd tells Kenny he knows he is no longer his deputy. Kenny cuts him off and says it is okay. He will help Acosta interview the residents.
Donna enters the greenhouse and sees Tillie’s corpses. She tells Boyd that they must talk to Sara. Boyd says it wasn’t Sara who killed Tillie. Donna says he doesn’t know that and she won’t be the only person who’s gonna blame Sara for this.
Even if it wasn’t Sara they still need to talk to her. Hiding from the monsters at night is one thing. But this? This is something that people are gonna have to blame someone for. If they can’t figure out who did it, then it is gonna be Sara, whether she did it or not.
Boyd asks Donna to straighten things out here first, and then he wants to talk to her at the Sheriff’s station to talk to Sara together.
6 — In Sara’s basement, Sara pretends to be the voice of Jasper the puppet to help Victor. He gets angry at Sara for not talking the way Jasper used to. He stands up and kicks the lower part of the refrigerator. Victor yells he needs to talk, and Sara isn’t doing it right. Sara says she is doing the best she can. “You are not doing it good enough! You are not good enough!” Victor starts to slap himself. Sara asks him to stop.
7 — Tabitha is cutting vegetables and cooking in the kitchen at Kenny’s former house. He moved to the Colony House. Jim tells Tabitha that she wants all this to mean something and that this place has convinced her to save these children. It’s got her trying to fix something that they can never–
Jim stops when Tabitha stops cutting vegetables and draws a heavy sigh. That’s language to I’m about to stab your eyes out if you keep mansplaining. lol
Jim asks Tabitha if she knows why the phone is off the wall. Because it rang the other day, and the voice on the other end said his name was Thomas.
Tabitha stops cutting vegetables again, but now is paying attention. She drops the knife and asks: “What?”
Jim walks next to her and leans on the counter.
Jim says that something here knows things about them and it knows which buttons to push.
Sara knocks on the door and interrupts their talk.
Sara says she knows she should never be at their house, but Victor is in her basement, and he is in a really bad shape. Victor only wants to talk to Tabitha.
8 — Elgin enters the clinic and shouts out Hello. No one responds. He approaches Kristi’s emergency backpack. Randall surprises Elgin when he entered the room. Elgin says he needed a bandaid for his foot. Randall tells him he shouldn’t let Kristi or Marielle sneak in to root through their shit. Randall asks if he heard about Tillie. That’s fucked up.
Randall apologizes for being so hard on Elgin on the bus the day they arrived. He guesses Elgin was right. They should have turned around the bus. Elgin apologizes for puking on Randall’s shirt. Randall exits the clinic.
Elgin resumes his search for the emergency backpack and steals a Primary Y-type Blood Set.
9 — In Sara’s basement, Victor is glad to see Tabitha come. She was there when Victor remembered Eloise. So Tabitha is the one that can make Jasper talk. Victor says she has to make Jasper talk to him to tell the secrets that he told Christopher because Jasper can help the people of this town.
Tabitha says Jasper is just a doll. Victor insists that Tabitha must be the one to make Jasper tell him the secret. Victor starts yelling again in frustration: “You have to be the one! You have to be the one!” Victor starts to hit himself. Tabitha asks him to stop and to calm down.
Tabitha tries to guide Victor into focusing on drawing with his crayons to find the secrets he seeks, but Victor says that doesn’t work like that. The drawings remember so that he doesn’t have to. He never drew one of Jasper’s secrets, so the memory is gone.
Tabitha tries a different way. She asks Victor to sit down. She sits next to him and tells him that nothing is gone. Tabitha asks Victor to talk about the doll.
Victor says the puppet is named Jasper. He heard Jasper telling Christopher things that they needed to know. But he doesn’t remember.
Tabitha says it is okay. They will remember together just like last time.
10 — Julie arrives home. Jim comes downstairs and welcomes her. She asks how was the old settlement. He says not great. Jim asks if she can hang with Ethan for a bit. She asks where he is going, but he deflects and simply says there is something he gotta take care of.
11 — Julie knocks on the door to talk to Ethan. He is standing on the ground at the bed’s feet. Ethan says he is okay. Julie said he might want to see something really cool. Ethan turns around and looks up at her with interest.
12 — At the Bar, Henry continues to drink. He tells Jade that his wife, Miranda, had visions of this place. Jade says he’s heard. Henry thought she was crazy. He should have listened to his wife. Henry asks what exactly makes Jade think he will be the one who is going to figure this out. He imagines a lot of pretty smart people have tried.
Jade drops the pencil and says that he is smarter. Jim enters the Bar. Jade sarcastically says oh, come on in. Make yourself at home. (Jade is sarcastic because he has tried to solve the puzzle with Henry inviting himself to stay in the Bar talking, and now Jim enters without knocking — something Jim criticizes Jade for when he visits their house).
Jim tells Jade it is over. “Who the fuck do you think you are dragging my wife and kid out into the middle of the woods?”
Jade stands up and says he didn’t drag anybody anywhere.
Jim says he will only say this once. Tabitha is not in a good place right now. She doesn’t need Jade filling her head with ideas about how somehow, she is this chosen savior, responsible for getting everybody home.
Jade forcefully removes Jim’s hands from his shoulders.
Jade says Tabitha is not 9-years old. He is not putting ideas in her head. Tabitha came to the Bar to talk to him. She saw the drawings. She recognized the symbol. Jade stops explaining because he doesn’t need to answer Jim.
Jim says Jade is a selfish, narcissistic asshole who doesn’t give a shit about anything but himself. If he wants to kill himself trying to figure out this place, go ahead. But he has a family to look out for. He has people that mean more to him than he will ever understand.
Jade says he is getting tired of this sanctimonious blue-collar bullshit.
Jade says if he wants to talk about his family, of the two of them, he is the only one trying to help them. Jim says all the drawings and puzzles and stuff in this Bar only show people that he is the smartest prick.
Jade says so what? If this shit gets people home, who cares? Jade says he won’t waste any more of his time talking to Jim. If he wants to keep their kids under lock and key, more power to him. Tabitha is a grown-up. If he has a problem with what she is doing, talk to her. Jade leaves the Bar.
Henry tells Jim that was certainly productive.
13 — Ellis shouts for Fatima and opens the Shack’s door. He brings a large backpack with supplies for her. He hugs her. Ellis says everything will be okay. Fatima scolds him for saying that. His father also says the same thing. Nothing is okay. She killed someone. Ellis says they are together on this. If he needs to take a talisman and take her to live in the woods, he will.
Fatima says he doesn’t understand. Whatever is inside her and made her kill Tillie is still there. It might also make her kill Ellis, too.
Ellis says she won’t because she is stronger than this. Together they are stronger than this. He places their lucky handkerchief on her hand and tells her that he loves her. Ellis says he will be back soon. Ellis leaves the shack.
Fatima sits on the ground against the wall and brings the handkerchief to her nose. She smells it and closes her eyes. She opens her eyes and sees the mummified woman in the kimono suit standing in front of her. Fatima screams and moves away from it, standing against the opposite corner of the shack. The ghost disappears shortly without a word.
14 — In the Colony House, Elgin stands in front of a mirror. He removes his belt and fastens it around his left arm. The Polaroid photo that came out of the camera when Tillie’s corpse was found at the greenhouse is revealed to be a Primary Y-Type Blood Set filled with blood. That means the Mummified Woman in a Kimono suit communicated with Elgin through the Polaroid camera to command him to put his own blood in that Primary Y-Type Blood Set.
Elgin puts the IV needle in his left arm and begins to draw blood inside a large jar. Suddenly, the Polaroid camera shutter clicks itself and whirs. A new photo pops up from the camera. Elgin holds it in his hand to see what the next message is.
15 — In the Bar, Henry tells Jim: “You mind if I give you some unsolicited advice?” Jim allows it.
Henry says: “Maybe, sometimes, when you’re with your wife, you should shut the fuck up and listen. I look at you right now. All I see is me standing there 40 years ago. I was so sure I could “fix” Miranda. It never occurred to me she wasn’t broken. That arrogant fella who stormed outta here? He was right about one thing. What you are doing, how tight you are holding on to everything… You may tell yourself you are doing it for your family. But you are doing it because you are scared, and you are doing it for yourself. I am probably the only guy in this whole place who can tell you that and say it is true.”
Jim looks at Henry. Then walks slowly toward him. He picks up a chair and sits next to him at the bar.
Henry offers Jim a drink, but he declines. Jim’s father was a drunk. Henry says his, too.
Jim says the night his daughter Julie was born… after Tabitha fell asleep, he went to the bar across the street from the hospital. He asked the bartender for the tallest glass of whiskey she could pour. Jim stared at that glass for hours. He promised he would be a better father to his kids. A better husband to his wife.
Henry pours alcohol on a tall glass. Jim asks what he is doing.
Henry responded: “Giving you the chance to renew your vows. Sit there as long as you want. I could use the company.”
Henry drinks.
16 — Julie and Ethan reached the Tower Ruins. Ethan asks what is this place? Julie says she doesn’t know, but she asks him if he can keep a secret from Mom and Dad.
Julie says that since she woke up from the coma, something has been happening to her. She hears things in her head. She can hear people screaming and it won’t stop. Yesterday, Julie was here with Randall, and when she found this Tower Ruins, everything went quiet for the first time since she woke up.
Julie feels drawn to the Tower Ruins as if something wants her to get inside, but she doesn’t know what to do. It is just a pile of rocks. She is scared.
Julie asks Ethan what she should do. All she thinks is that this sounds like one of those stories that Ethan tells them. So he should be the one to tell her what to do.
Ethan says Julie is at a threshold. It is always scary but the hero needs to be brave. Ethan offers to step into the Tower Ruins together if she wants.
Ethan and Julie hold hands and walk toward the Tower Ruins.
As they enter the arch, Julie enters the tower like a seamless veil. Ethan disappears before her eyes and she enters the interior of a Tower with walls all around her and torches. She can see a hole in the ground and a winch.
Julie finds Randall, Marielle, and herself chained to the walls of the Tower. Their eyes are fully white. This is where they were held captive when they were unable to wake up.
<This is exactly the same scene that happens in Season 2, Ep. 10: Once Upon A Time. Julie has timeshifted into the past.>
Julie covers her ears with both hands and squats on the ground. The screams are unbearable. In the present, Ethan shouts at an unconscious Julie who dropped to the ground the moment she stepped on the Tower Ruin’s arch. Julie is having a seizure. Ethan stands up and screams for help.
17 — In Sara’s basement, Tabitha asks Victor if he remembers where he was when he heard Jasper talk. Victor says it was dark in a basement. Tabitha asks if he remembers which basement. Victor can’t remember. Tabitha asks if he remembers why he was in the basement. He doesn’t and gets frustrated.
Sara interjects and asks what was it like outside the day he heard Jasper talk.
Victor says it was a sunny day.
Eloise and Victor were playing hide-and-seek. Eloise was good at that game. He could never find her, no matter how hard he looked for her.
Tabitha asks where he looked for Eloise. Victor says everywhere: the Bar, the Diner, the houses, the church.
Eloise never hid in the church. She said it always scared her. He looked for her everywhere else. That was where it happened. That was where he saw Jasper talking to Christopher. The basement of the church.
18 — Kenny asks the resident who found Tillie’s corpse if he saw anything. He responds he didn’t see anyone stab the old lady in the greenhouse. Acosta asks him when was the last time he saw Tillie alive. He responded yesterday morning. The guy angrily asks why they aren’t questioning the person who actually killed someone in this town before.
Kenny says they will talk to Sara afterward. The resident taunts Kenny: “Didn’t Sara kill your Dad? What the fuck are you defending her for?
19 — Boyd and Ellis have an intense argument at the Sheriff’s station. Ellis wants to take Tabitha to live in the woods in a shelter with a talisman. Boyd opposes the idea. Boyd says Ellis won’t be safe from Fatima. Ellis asks if that is what Boyd is afraid of. She would never harm him.
Donna breaks into the Sheriff’s station interrupting their screaming match. She says the people are ready to march on Sara’s house with torches any second. Donna asks what the fuck is going on after looking at their faces.
Boyd says it was not Sara. Donna says she knows Boyd cares about her. Boyd interrupts: “It was Fatima.”
Donna stammers. Not a word is said.
20 — Kenny and Acosta walk back to the town. Acosta asks if what that guy said about Sara and his Dad was true. He says it is not that simple. Acosta asks if it wasn’t worth mentioning that this Sara already murdered two people.
Kenny says Sara has changed and Boyd trusts her. Acosta says who gives a shit what Boyd thinks.
<The writers didn't make a mistake here. From the point of view of Acosta, who barely arrived recently to the town, that resident only commented on Kenny's Dad and possibly Gina the clinic assistant by leaving the door opened for the monsters to kill them. In reality, Sara is also responsible for Tobey's death and her own brother Nathan's death. That's 4 murders. Plus, an attempted murder on Ethan.>
Their conversation is interrupted by the screams of Ethan who asks for help. Ethan says Julie fell to the ground and she is having seizures. Kenny and Acosta follow Ethan.
21 — In the Tower, Past-time Randall, Marielle, and Julie continue to shriek in agony. Present-time Julie can’t stand the shrieks and continues to cover her ears. The shrieking and screams stop.
Julie can no longer see Randall, Marielle, and her past-self. This means somewhere in time Boyd destroyed the music box. They have woken up.
Julie hears a voice that startles her. Old man Martin tells Boyd: “You have to climb!”
Julie approaches the old man chained to the wall. Martin sees her and says: “Julie?
Julie asks: “How do you know my name?”
<If you are confused, you should. This old Martin is not a resident in the Town or the Colony House. Yet, he knows this young woman is named Julie. This posits two theories and one debatable complicated theory. Let's start with the latter:
1. Martin is a future Randall that spent decades in this tower. That could be possible if Randall has a second name: Martin. But this theory is quickly destroyed because we have seen Randall's left arm before and he has no US Marine Corps tattoo -- compare the left arm in the screenshots below.
The first screenshot shows Randall's left arm which has no USMC tattoo.
The second screenshot shows an inverted view of Martin's USMC tattoo.>
<The only way Martin is Randall is if his name is Martin Randall or Randall Martin plus a timey-whimey thing is explained in a future Season where Randall escapes the place, joins the Marines, gets the US Marine Corps tattoo and somehow ends up back in the place and is held prisoner in the tower. That sounds complicated to be true. After all, Tabitha did leave the place and returned. For now let's mark this theory as debunked but still possible via complex storytelling. I mean, we just saw two Julies in the same spot. One from the present and one from the past. Can't get more crazier than that. Or can it? Stay tuned a few paragraphs below.>
<Theory #1: You are already reading a recap with the word "Spoilers" -- so you shouldn't complain about me spoiling what happens in the next couple of Season 3 episodes. Ethan calls Julie a "Storywalker" which allows her to visit past chapters of a story. According to Ethan, she can visit these chapters, but she can't change the story. That's to be explored later. What matters is that if true, Storywalker Julie can visit an era when Victor was a kid. Or an era in the mid-1800s. This means that potentially, in one of those storywalks Julie might meet a younger Martin in the 1800s or early-mid 1900s. This could explain how Martin knows Julie. But she doesn't know him. She is yet to storywalk to his younger-self's era where Martin meets her for the first time. Trivia: The US Marine Corps globe, eagle, and anchor was incorporated to a flag in 1868.>
Theory #2: This theory is the opposite version of the previous one. Martin might be a person that gets introduced in a upcoming Season as a young person that finds the tree on the road and enters the town. He meets Julie. Later, he is captured and chained in the Tower for decades. Julie appears before him, and he recognizes Julie. From present-time Julie's point of view, she hasn't met Martin yet. She meets him days or weeks later as a younger Martin. If you complain about the paradox, buckle up. You will see another paradox happen in a few paragraphs after this block.
Martin tells Julie that the person down in the hole needs the rope. Julie grabs the rope and throws it down the hole. She asks Martin who is that person at the bottom of the hole.
<Yes. That is Boyd at the bottom of the hole. The exact same scene in Season 2, Ep. 1: Strangers in a Strange Land. This means that Present-Time Julie was the one who threw the rope down the hole for Past-Time Boyd to escape the hole. This is a Paradox. Chicken and the Egg. Boyd was the one who destroyed the music box to save Past-Time Julie from her nightmare with white eyes. But Boyd wouldn't have been able to destroy the magic box if Future-Julie doesn't throw the rope for him to escape the hole. This is some Star Trek-level script.>
Martin thanks Julie. Julie asks who is that man down the hole. Martin warns Julie she must leave now. It is not safe. Julie begins to leave, but when she looks back, Martin is no longer on the wall.
Julie opens a door and she arrives at the tunnels, somehow. Julie tries to turn on her lighter, but it won’t work. Suddenly, she hears voices in the tunnels.
Tabitha: “No, no, Victor. Can you just please tell me what’s going on? Where are we?”
Victor: “We are underneath the town. This is where the monsters live. This is where they sleep, but I can get us out.”
Tabitha: “They what?”
Julie calls for her Mom.
<This scene is when Tabitha dug the hole in the basement and the hole collapsed sending her to the tunnels below. When the monsters attacked the Colony House and killed at least 14 residents, Julie and Victor escaped going down a rope from his bedroom. Later, Victor and Julie entered a Farway Tree. Julie teleported to the Root Cellar and Victor teleported to the tunnels, where the Boy in White told him to wait for Tabitha who later collapsed down the hole in the basement.
That happened in Season 1, Ep. 10: Oh, the Places We’ll Go.>
Julie couldn’t find his Mom, but now she hears the children say: “Anghkooey!”
22 — Kenny and Acosta aid Julie at the Tower Ruin. A few feet away, when Julie’s body is removed from the Tower Ruin, she wakes up and hugs Ethan.
23 — At the Sheriff’s Station, Boyd reveals to Donna that he took Fatima outta town before everyone woke up.
Donna asks Fatima to be brought back to the Colony House. Boyd complains. Donna says if Boyd tries to hide this murder and people finds out it was Fatima —
Boyd interrupts: “They will understand, just like they did with Sara.”
Donna says it won’t be the same. People didn’t understand about Sara. They accepted it and swallowed it, but they didn’t understand. They let it go because Boyd told them they had to. But it won’t work this time for Fatima. Because the people no longer believe in Boyd anymore.
Donna says either something horrible is growing inside Fatima that makes her do things like kill Tillie or Fatima’s mind is broken. It is a matter of time before Fatima kills again.
Boyd says he will shelter Ellis and Fatima in the Sheriff’s Station and keep an eye on them.
Donna says that is not enough. Either Boyd tells the truth to the people or she will.
24 — Victor, Tabitha, and Sara enter the Church’s basement. When Victor opened the door as a child, he heard voices in the basement. When he walked silently to the bottom of the stairs, Jasper was telling secrets. Christopher got angry. Victor tries to remember. He says something is not right in what he remembers. It wasn’t Jasper who told secrets to Christopher. It was the Boy in White. He was the one down here in the Church’s basement.
The Boy in White tells Christopher: “The answers to the end are at the beginning. It started with the children. What the others did to them. The people they loved and trusted. The children are born in the dark and then they were murdered in the dark. But someone who loved them told them a story. The story gave them hope. And when the children laid on the stones, they poured their hope into the roots that made the symbol, and those roots became the tree.”
Sara says The Faraway Tree.
Victor says the Boy in White was trying to tell Christopher that to save the children, he would have to go through the tree. But he wouldn’t listen. He got angry.
Christopher: “You’re a liar! Everything lies here!”
Victor remembers now. Christopher wouldn’t listen to the Boy in White, so Victor told his Mom what the Boy in White said. That is what caused Miranda to go to the Faraway Tree to save the children in the Lighthouse.
25 — Elgin finds the shack seen in the Polaroid photo and calls out Fatima’s name.
26 — Boyd and Ellis walk through the forest toward Fatima’s shack. Boyd tells Ellis to go straight in the direction he points for 3-4 hours until they find the old settlement.
Boyd will leave supplies at the shack at least twice a week. If you need anything, leave a note behind.
Boyd and Ellis find the shack’s door wide open. No sign of Fatima.
27 — Elgin is carrying Fatima’s bags and she follows him. But asks where they are going.
Elgin brings Fatima to the Root Cellar. Elgin says Ellis is waiting for her inside. There is a room that no one knows about.
Elgin shows her the room and asks her to enter it. She calls out Ellis, but he doesn’t respond. She grows suspicious and says she will return to the shack and asks Elgin to get out of her way.
Elgin says she doesn’t understand. She must stay in that room because that is the only place where her baby will be safe.
Fatima says there is no baby. Elgin says there is a baby… it is just not hers.
Fatima freaks out and asks Elgin to get out of her way. Fatima knocks Elgin to the ground and tries to escape the Root Cellar. The abdominal pain doesn’t allow her to overpower Elgin who drags her back down the stairs and inside the room.
