Arthas: The circle of power has been prepared per your instructions, lich. Are you ready to begin the summoning?
Kel’Thuzad: Nearly. I’ve been reading through Medivh’s spellbook. His knowledge of demons alone is staggering. I suspect that he was far more powerful than anyone ever realized.
Tichondrius: Not powerful enough to escape death, that is for certain. Suffice to say, the work he began, we will finish… today. Let the summoning commence!
- Kel’Thuzad must survive for 30 minutes
HINT – Use the fountain to replenish health and mana.
Note: Careful with your Shades. All the 3 Kirin Tor bases have upgraded Watch Towers with the Sentry ability which detects invisible units.
Build a Haunted Gold Mine and a Nexus at the second Gold Mine to the far east.
Necromancer: Lord Arthas, our scouts have found a cache of goblin land mines!
Arthas: Excellent! We will make good use of them.
Goblin Land Mines
- Acquire the Goblin Land Mines
The Goblin Land Mines are inside these crates. The 4 crates drop 4 Goblin Land Mines (Treasure Chests). Each Treasure Chest contains 3 land mines. So you have a total of 12 land mines. Kill the 2 Footman south of the land mines.
Goblin Land Mines: Places a hidden land mine at a target point. Enemy units that move ner the land mine will activate the mine, destroying the mine and causing area of effect damage to nearby units. Contains 3 charges.
Note: You can equip 6 land mines per slot in your inventory.
Select the main Halls of the Dead and upgrade it into a Black Citadel.
Around 28:03 — A knight, 2 footman and a rifleman attack from the east.
Arthas: Defend Kel’Thuzad at all costs! The summoning must not be disrupted!
There is a Goblin Laboratory just south of the Goblin Land Mine crates. Most of the items are already on cooldown, and may not be purchased until the cooldown is over.
- Sapper (S): Explosive team of goblin sappers. Particularly effective against buildings. Can Kaboom land units and trees. 215 100 2
- Zeppelin (Z): Flying air-transport. 240 60
- Shredder (G): Medium melee unit made of iron. Excellent at harvesting large amounts of lumber. Attacks land units and trees. 375 100 4
- Reveal (R): Reveals an area of the map. Detects invisible units. Lasts 6 secs. 50
Build 2 Crypt Fiends (F).
Build a Meat Wagon (M).
Select the Graveyard. Upgrade to Unholy Strength (S): Increases the attack damage of Ghouls, Meat Wagons, Abominations, Skeleton Warriors and Skeletal Mages.
Upgrade to Creature Attack (A): Increases the attack damage of Crypt Fiends, Gargoyles and Frost Wyrms.
Upgrade to Unholy Armor (U): Increases armor of Ghouls, Abominations, Skeletons Warriors and Skeletal Mages.
Upgrade to Creature Carapace (C): Increases the armor of Crypt Fiends, Gargoyles, and Frost Wyrms.
Build 2 Crypts (C) at the expansion base.
Build 2 Acolytes (C).
26:20 — 4 Riflemen attack your main base.
Select a Crypt. Research Web (W): Enables Crypt Fiends to bind a target enemy air unit in webbing, forcing it to the ground. Webbed units can be hit as though they were land units.
Research Stone Form (S): Enables Gargoyles to assume the Storm Form, which transforms the Gargoyle into a statue with high armor, spell immunity, and regeneration. The Gargoyle cannot attack in this form.
Select the Graveyard. Upgrade to Improved Unholy Strength (S): Further increases the attack damage of Ghouls, Meat Wagons, Abominations, Skeleton Warriors and Skeletal Mages.
Select any Ziggurat and upgrade to Spirit Tower (T) to attack land and air units.
Select the Slaughterhouse. Research Disease Cloud (D): Gives Abominations and Meat Wagon’s attacks the Disease Cloud aura that deals 1 damage per sec for 120 sec to nearby enemy units. Undead are immune to Disease Cloud.
Build a Boneyard (B): Produces Frost Wryms. Also contains the Freezing Breath upgrade.
Build 2 Ghouls (G).
Send Arthas to place Goblin Land Mines in the path leading out of the Kirin Tor bases.
25:18 — 2 Gryphon Riders attack the expansion base. Send the Crypt Fiends to web them.
25:00 — Kel’Thuzad: The Legion’s fury scorches the sky! The barriers between the worlds are weakening!
24:50 — Kel’Thuzad: The Legion has sent hellhounds to aid us! The beasts are yours to command, death knight!
Build a Gargoyle (A).
24:35 — 2 Gryphon Riders attack the expansion base.
Upgrade the Nexus at the expansion base into a Halls of the Dead.
Build 4 Ziggurats at the expansion base.
23:59 — a Knight, Priest, and 2 Riflemen attack th eastern Spirit Tower near Kel’Thuzad. Kill the Priest first.
Don’t forget to use the Fountain — south of Kel’Thuzad to heal and restore mana simultaneously.
Place more Goblin Land Mines in this path.
Build an Abomination (A).
Build 2 Boneyards (B).
Upgrade all Ziggurats at the expansion base into Spirit Towers (T).
Now that you have spent all the Goblin Land Mines, don’t forget to pick up the best items from the treasure chests left behind by Kel’Thuzad.
Around 22:30 — 3 Gryphon Riders attack.
Select the Temple of the Damned. Research Necromancer Adept Training (E): Increase Necromancer’s mana capacity, mana regeneration rate, hit points, and gives them the ability to cast Unholy Frenzy.
Research Banshee Adept Training (A): Increases Banshee’s mana capacity, mana regeneration rate, hit points, and gives them the ability to cast Anti-magic Shell.
Research Skeletal Longevity (S): Increases the duration of raised Skeleton Warriors and Skeletal Mages by 15 sec.
Build a Necromancer (N).
Build a Banshee (B).
Build 2 Abominations (A).
Send all of your minions to destroy these Rock Chunks east of your expansion base.
Build 2 Frost Wyrms (F).
Kill this pack of Gnolls: Gnoll Overseer level 5, and 2 Gnoll Brutes level 3. Destroy the Gnoll Hut. It drops Warsong Battle Drums: Increases the attack damage of nearby friendly units by 10% when worn. Does not stack with Command Aura.
OPTIONAL: There is a Undead level 3 named Jay Gibone hidden in a small island at the top-center of the map.
You can actually make him work for you. Requires to buy a Zeppelin at the Goblin Laboratory, build a Banshee, and upgrade to Mastery Banshee Training to enable the Mind Control ability.
It is optional. There is nothing special about him other than 228 hit points and Armor 4 (damage reduction 19%). He has no abilities or passives.
Build 2 Crypt Fiends (F).
Build a Frost Wyrm (F).
Upgrade to Freezing Breath (B): Enables Frost Wyrms to use the Freezing Breath ability. When cast on a building, temporarily stops production.
Send your forces to kill a single Archmage stationed at this small peninsula. His name is random-generated from a list of 14 archmages. He drops Ring of Protection: Increases the armor of the Hero by 5 when worn. Destroy the tent which drops a Tome of Strength: Permanently increases Strength by 2.
Send all your forces to attack the Alliance Defenders base from the south — where you recently killed the Gnolls. This is the smallest base of all three enemy bases.
19:59 — Kel’Thuzad: The Legion has sent hellhounds to aid us! The beasts are yours to command, death knight!
As soon as you kill all the enemy forces in this base, go after the three Barracks in the back. Use the Frost Wyrms to cast Freezing Breath, and the Meat Wagons to quickly destroy them. There is a chance that the Kirin Tor base to the north might come to help the Alliance Defenders. Watch your six.
Select the Graveyard:
Upgrade to Improved Unholy Armor (U).
Upgrade to Improved Creature Attack (A).
Upgrade to Improved Creature Carapace (C).
Upgrade to Advanced Unholy Strength (S).
While still destroying the enemy base, send an Acolyte to build a Haunted Gold Mine.
Destroy that Farm by the Abomination (seen above, to build a Nexus right there.
Build 4 Acolytes and rally them to the new Haunted Gold Mine.
Build the Nexus here as a decoy:
15:05 — 4 Rifleman attack the main base.
14:59 — Kel’Thuzad: The Legion has sent hellhounds to aid us! The beasts are yours to command, death knight!
The Felstalker have the following ability:
- Mana Burn (B): Sends a bolt of negative energy that burns 100 points of a target enemy unit’s mana. The mana combusts, dealing damage equal to the amount of mana burned. Cost: 50 mana.
Send all your forces — including all of your Ghouls harvesting wood and all the Fel Stalkers — to attack the Kirin Tor base (northeast). Station all forces at the entrance, then go all in. Kill the Archmage quickly. He casts Blizzard.
Select the Graveyard:
Upgrade to Advanced Creature Attack (A).
Upgrade to Advanced Creature Carapace (C).
Upgrade to Advanced Unholy Armor (U).
Build 4 Ziggurats next to the Gold Mine.
After you destroy the Watch Towers, focus on the Barracks with the Frost Wyrms to slow production of more units, and destroy them.
Build more Frost Wyrms as the 100 Food Limit allows.
Upgrade the Ziggurats into Spirit Towers (T).
11:29 — two Siege Engines attack your main base.
As soon as you destroy the Watch Towers protecting it, destroy the Magic Vault located here. It drops two items…
- Crown of Kings: Increases the Strength, Intelligence, and Agility of the Hero by 5 when worn.
- Tome of Knowledge: Permanently increases Strength, Agility, and Intelligence by 1.
Build a second Nexus near to the Haunted Gold Mine — leaving the other one as decoy.
9:59 — Kel’Thuzad: At last! The mighty infernals have been sent to aid us! Rally them quickly, death knight! They are yours to command!
Infernals have these passive abilities:
- Permanent Immolation: Burns nearby enemy units for 10 points of damage per sec.
- Spell Immunity: Renders this unit immune to all spells.
- Resistant Skin: Reduces the duration of negative spells and renders the unit immune to certain spells.
Send the Infernals to assist your main force at the enemy base.
8:29 — Your main base is under attack by 4 Gyrocopters and 2 Rifleman.
Once the Kirin Tor base is wiped, send all your forces including Ghouls, Infernals, Frost Wyrms, and Fel Stalkers to wipe the last enemy base: Mage’s Guild.
The best strategy — considering how narrow their entrance is with 2 high-ground Dalaran Watch Towers and an in-range Cannon Tower — is to aggro as many enemy units as you can then run away behind the trees. Lure them far away from the towers. Then decimate them.
Then destroy the towers, and proceed to attack all core buildings like the Barracks and the Castle.
There is another Magic Vault hidden in the eastern side of the enemy base. It drops:
- Scepter of Mastery: Transfers control of the targeted non-Hero unit to the player who uses the Scepter. The transfer of control is permanent. Cannot be used on Heroes or on creeps higher than level 5. Contains 3 charges.
If you destroy the core buildings of the last enemy base, the game ends faster than the timer reaching 0:00.
Kel’Thuzad: Come forth, Lord Archimonde! Enter this world and let us bask in your power!
Archimonde: Tremble, mortals, and despair! Doom has come to this world! You have done well, little lich. My plan worked perfectly.
Tichondrius: Lord Archimonde, all the preparations have been made.
Archimonde: Very well, Tichondrius. Since the Lich King is of no further use to me, you dreadlords will now command the Scourge.
Tichondrius: As you wish, Lord Archimonde.
Archimonde: Soon, I will order the invasion to begin. But first, I will make an example of these paltry wizards… by crushing their city into the ashes of history.
(Archimonde and Tichondrius teleport away)
Arthas: This has got to be a joke! What happens to us now?
Kel’Thuzad: Be patient, young death knight. The Lich King foresaw this as well. You may yet have a part to play in his grand design.
